Please help, me and my husband are booked on a flight in 3 weeks to Brisbane, we did have accommodation sorted but have now got to find somewhere else as the other place is not suitable. Ideally we would like a self contained 1 bedroom place, we are looking for something not too expensive as we have not yet got jobs sorted so we are not sure whereabouts we will settle in Brisbane. Please does anyone have any suggestions as to where we could get short term accommodation. Thank you

Thank so much for the info, it really helped. We are going to go to Brisbane, I just need to get my Child Care qualifications recognised by Australia then I can start looking for jobs. We are hoping to be in Oz in September so lots to sort out. Thanks again

Thanks, I think we have made up our minds about going to Brisbane just need to get my qualifications recognized by Australia then I can start looking for jobs.

Hi me and Allan are moving to Queensland from the UK in Sept. But we have so many questions we need answered. We initially looked to move to Brisbane area but now are having doubts as thinking we could move to say Cairns area which may be cheaper (not sure if it is). I am a Nursery Nurse and Allan is a Warehouse Manager but we are willing to do anything just to get some money behind us as we are not going to have the money we thought we would have. Also we have looked into moving short term into a caravan park as this is a cheaper option. Does anyone have any info they could give us to help us decide where to move to and anything else that may help us. We have waited for this for such a long time so we don't want to be disappointed with money being the main downside. There is only the 2 of us to worry about so we are prepared for hard work and roughing it for a few weeks.
