Wow guys thanks a million for your swift and helpful replies. I myself have no qualification. Have been a bar man for the last 7 years and have done odd jobs in between. As I've used my WHV does this mean I can't actually legally work if I was to go to Australia? Also if my girlfriend was to get a sponsor, how long would it take for me to be granted a visa? Hi 1st time poster and hoping someone on here can provide some help or info. I was in oz back in 2009 on a 1 year WHV. I only stayed for 3 months as I had to come home for personal reasons. My girlfriend of 6 years has had the travelling bug since before I met her and always wanted to spend a year in Australia. She is planning on going for a year in March and has booked flights. She herself is a fully qualified nurse. Im just wondering what options are available to me to be able to follow her out and work? Are there ways around the system? What costs would be involved in sponsorship or what other visa options are available that I would be legally allowed work? Thanks very much for your time and effort. J
