  10. Hello to you all. Right i'm new to this forum and this is my 1st post so i'm not going to start by asking a million questions straight away but thought id just explain brieflly why i joined and abit about myself. I joined because i am really thinking of moving to Melbourne (well one of the subherbs) i am in the stage of trying to find out as much as i can about visa's, jobs, areras to live with a young child and cost of living and thought what quicker way of finding out all this out by talking to people who have made the move or in advanced stagers of acctually about to be ready for the off. So the million questions will start on more apprpriate forum sections, has i do have loads of questions so any advise how ever small would be much appritiated. Im married with a young girl who is 5 and in her 1st year at school. I work on the railway and have done so for the past 8yrs which i love. I have started at the bottom as a track lad doing track maintinance and also civil works on the railway. I am in the process of doing my NEBOSH general certificate as i do site audits, site visits, site supervie, safty case mange and general safty briefs. I also do our companys lift plans which is office based so i get to be out on site and a warmth every now and then. I will be looking to carry on working in the rail industry when we move. My wife also works for the home office part time in the office and is also a fully qualified driving instructor which is now more of her main job now.
