Just make sure you read the guidelines very carefully and tick off each part as you get the evidence for it. If he has some periods of self employment then it is trickier as you need so much more evidence.

when we filled out the state nomination application a few months ago we had to write a figure over $40000 for our family of four, it wouldn't let you proceed to the next page unless you had that minimum amount down. I am just about to start packing and I am wondering the same thing as I have some wooden carved ornaments from different places. A couple look like they have been varnished but a couple don't so I was going to varnish them myself, do you think this would be ok? Also I am surprised by the above list, surely everything on there can't be prohibited! I was going to bring the kids trike and scooters (obviously cleaned properly first) and also some small kitchen appliances which are quite new. And whats with the pianos and violins, I don't have any but imagine those that do are quite partial to them!

Hi, can't comment on transferring liscenses etc but for the visas, getting out there and having some money to set up and live on for a couple of months is going to be £20000+ (family of four)
