Hi All, Newbie to this site! Just looking for some advice. I'm looking to make the big move to the sun and was wondering how the best way to go about it is. I'm an underground trained miner, mainly worked on developments driving new roadways, with heading training, out bye training and various other desired training(first aid etc.). Is the best way to go about this to come over to Aus on a working hliday visa, and then look whilst out there.... then when, and if, a position is found, then start making the plans to make it more permanent, or to try and secure something before coming out? Also, if anyone knows, where is the main concentrate of the recruiters for the mining industry? as from Google searches, it seems that a few companies have the hiring duties of the mines rather than the mines themselves? Hi, Newbie here looking to move to Australia. I'm a coal miner based in Wales, UK. Underground qualified in development. Various other desired training aswell(FIrst Aid, Health and safety, Risk Ass. Fire fighting etc.) working in a drift mine. Was just looking for some advice on the best way to actually go about moving. Would it be possible to prehaps secure a position from over seas and then come over and sort of hit the ground running? Or would coming over on a 'holiday' with a visa for 12 months to look for work whilst out there? Also where are the main concentrate of recruiters for the mines(Perth? Brisbane? etc.). I have family and friends living in both WA and QLD so this is a visable option. Any help would be much appreciated. Mac
