Hi Majestic (Suspect its Rich but never assume), I am a heavy duty diesel mechanic, but can pretty much work on anything. Ex military for 22 years as a mechanic on Trucks, Tanks, Plant, Landrover Etc then contracting in Afghanistan in the same roll for last 4 years. Have already got skilled residency visa and looking at arriving in Australia in around 4 weeks and family to follow in August. I have a wealth of Mechanical, Health and Safety, Management, IT, Air Con, Locksmith qualifications and would love to find out more about this roll. Hi All, A brief Introduction before I get some serious searching done. I am moving to Australia as soon as possible. Have already obtained Skilled Residency Visa for my family. I am a Motor Mechanic by trade and have a wealth of experience running a Vehicle Repair Workshop and have completed 22 years in the British Army doing just that. More recently working as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan and now planning the big move to Oz. My wife is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Special Needs) and are now trying to decide where to go as employment will dictate where we go. I am due to visit Australia to find work next month, probably Perth then up the coast until Darwin and hopefully find something. Any pointers on best places to look will be greatly received.
