  1. Thanks, it's really fast indeed - I'm going to go via 189 as my employer is willing to sponsor me after 2 years (company policy). I submitted application for skills assessment this week and I'm getting ready for IELTS exam. Lozzchops, occupation celling can be checked via skill select (http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/): - go to reports tab and click on Occupation Ceilings I would say you need to prepare to get high score (7,8) in IELTS. Have your husband check practice tests (easily available on the internet) to get the feeling what is the test like.
  2. Thank you for your answers! ENS seems to be the easiest, hustle free choice, but unfortunately you need to rely on your employer To play it safe I think I will give it a shot and apply independently. I have already gathered all required documents for skills assessment - planning to submit an application this week. Meanwhile I'll prepare for IELTS (aiming to score 7). Btw. how long did you wait for IELTS results ? Time might be an issue in my situation - my occupation ceiling is filling up really quick (currently out of 1800 slots, 1000 has been filled already), so I am not sure if I'll be able to submit EOI on time.
  3. Hello all, I have been on 457 for a year and I am looking for options to become PR. Based on my research I found two options: Option 1 (via ENS): My current employer offers to sponsor visa after two years, so I would need to wait one more year. Option 2 (via skillselect): Apply independently for 189/190 (my occupation is on SOL list). I am looking for fastest possible option. Can you please advise which option would be faster ? (wait one year for ens or apply independently straight away) Your feedback would be highly appreciated.
