  1. Sorry, but what are RTO's and what is RPL?
  2. Here goes...... I have just had an email from the companies HR department saying that i need the equivalent to an Australian recognised AQF certificate 3 to qualify me for a sub 457 labour agreement visa with them. Is there an equivalent to this in the UK? If there is, what is it and what would be my route to achieve it? thanks in advance, Steve.
  3. Thanks for the replies, they have been very helpful. So, is it just myself that has to have a medical or my whole family? What does this medical involve ie what sort of medical conditions would fail the visa application? All the best Steve.
  4. Hi, an answer to my next question would be greatly appreciated. A company over in Brisbane have a labour agreement and have three sponsorships to offer out this year. My question is, if I were to go out on my own, could my wife and kids follow at any time or is there a period of time they need to travel out by before they can no longer be included on my visa? Thanks in advance, Steve
  5. It's a dead end fella, trust me
  6. Mr Bojangles, unfortunately due to the economy taking a nose dive in Oz and elections on the horizon, 457 visas are not being offered at the moment. There are no routes for auto glaziers to get into Oz at all. 5 years ago maybe but not now or in the near future. I just got back from Oz last week where I was offered a managers job with sponsorship but due to the clamp down on 457 visas this will not happen this year. Your best bet would probably be to retrain as a Dentist lol. Sorry for being the bearer of bad news mate.
  7. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Just trying to find a route into oz but don't think there is one for me:(
  8. Hi, my partner has a cousin who has been a citizen in oz for 20 years. Her cousin has no remaining relatives. My question is, would my partner be considered for Family Migration? Any info in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Will do, thanks for all the info.
  10. Yes it is on the CSOL but i cant find it on any state sponsorship lists.
  11. shes a qualified youth worker.
  12. If my wifes occupation is on both these lists and i have a job offer for an occupation that is no longer on either of these lists which visa would be best for me to apply for?
  13. Thanks again for the info, who would be the best people to advise me of the best route for me into Australia, nothing seems black and white in the visa game. I just want to know how i can live and work there or is it not possible? Surely it cant be that difficult to get into Australia. Is Australian immigration alot tougher than Uk immigration because by the look of some of the immigrants in the UK they cant be that fussy on who they let in.
  14. Thanks for all the info guys, its really helped. I made contact with Australian migration and they told me that i may be able to apply for RSMS sub class 187 as my occupation is not on the skills list. I have read that i just need to be nominated by my employer and then i can apply for this visa with a cost of 3060 AUD. I also have to work in an area that is classed as regional and live there for atleast 2 years. Does anyone have any experience or know more about this visa?
  15. Maybe your right??? I have a few friends that have had no problems getting visas in the same occupation, so there must be a loop hole somewhere. Will contact them and find out.
