  1. That was a good plan wolvesaussie. We first applied in 2008 and mentioned it back then, we only got a CO last October and didn't want to mention it in case the visa wasn't granted (no need for any undue stress or whatever) so now it been granted 4 years later I reckon it's been forgotten about, but shouldn't be a big surprise either. Maybe i'm thinking the worst and she will be fine, just getting a bit nervous about it
  2. Watched it this evening (sky +), it seems like a good show with some good advice. I just wish we had the budget of todays couple!!!
  3. So we're off to Ireland tomorrow to tell my mum that we got our PR visa and we're planning to move over next summer. We mentioned it briefly to her a few years ago when we first started the process but it hasn't really been mentioned since then. We didn't want to tell her over the phone. My Da knows and he's fully behind us but my mum might be a different story. So how did you break the news? is there a way to do (or not to do) it? I was thinking of just dropping it into a casual conversation but not sure how it will go :twitcy:
  4. OH and I are going to the expo in Birmingham next weekend also. More so to see the shipping agents, find out about banking/money transfers etc as our visa has already been granted. It's unlikely that there will be potential employers at the expo for either of our jobs, but we'll bring along our cv's just in case, better to be prepared than not
  5. Hi Harry, have a look on this thread, http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/157361-medicals-refered-more-than-30-days-ets-connect-208.html you'll get an idea of where the MOC are at, although it seems they don't always do it in date order. Hop you get them finalised soon.
  6. Our visa was granted this morning after meds were finalised yesterday (refered 10th December). We're so so happy, and planning our reccie now  Hope everyone else gets the golden email soon.
  7. Wifes medicals were referred on 10th December and finalised today  Now we're just waiting on that golden email.
  8. Hi everyone, this is my first post here. We're currently at the planning stages of a recce trip to Melbourne late July/early August. However we would like to visit family and friends in Sydney and Brisbane whilst on the trip too. Ideally what we would like to do is get an outward flight from UK to Melbourne, sort out internal flights to Sydney then on to Brisbane ourselves and get an outbound flight from Brisbane. From your experience do any airlines do this type of ticket? I imagine it would be cheaper than sorting single flights each way. Thanks in advance
