  1. Hi, we're in the process of applying to SA through my husband who is a secondary school teacher (Chemistry). I'm aware that it is much easier to find teaching work outside Adelaide especially if you're willing to go very rural. We have a young son (2yrs) and would like to settle somewhere with him once he starts school. While we'd like to settle somewhere rural/semi rural (I grew up in the country), I am hesitant to put all my eggs in one basket straight away. I think the ideal would be for him to do relief teaching in Adelaide for a few years while we get to explore SA then decide where we want to settle permanently. My concern is that he'd only have intermittent work throughout the year if working as relief. Does anyone know what the demand is for science teachers in Adelaide? Would he be able to get work year round?
