  1. Hi I initially applied for the Visa on the 13/12/12 and was granted my visa on the 03/01/13,it was very quick especially as we had xmas in the middle Best of luck with yours Orla
  2. Hi Tickled Pink Thanks for your quick response I have the Visa grant number, validity dates until Jan 2017, the visa status says in Effect, and there is a section to click on regarding all the regulations,is that what you mean ?
  3. Hi everyone I have just checked on the Visa and Immigration site and my 457 visa has been granted today,I wasn't expecting a drum role ,but there wasn't even an e.mail sent along with it. So is that it ? Do I start booking my flights, and sort the day I leave for Melbourne,or do I have to do anything else regarding the actual visa itself . Sorry if I sound unenthusiastic I think I am in shock and cant quite take it in. Best Wishes Orla p.s I might have a little scream later !!!!!!
  4. Thanks everyone all sorted not a problem with BUPA health Care Kind Regards Orla
  5. Can anyone please recommend a health insurance company that would be willing to give insurance to my husband who suffers with high blood pressure, but takes medication and it is very controlled . Today we have been informed by IMAN that they are unwilling to insure my husband as he is classed as too "high risk" We are devastated as this is the last piece of information required for granting our 457 visa. Surely there is a company who will insure him,we understand that the premium would be expensive. What are our options ? Can anyone help our plight thanks Orla
  6. Hello Frantastic I was informed by the agency that I used ,that I would have to register with APHRA in the first instance before applying for a job, I would suggest you start the process as soon as possible, because it can be a very long process. It can take up to 12 weeks, but I have seen on this site, that other people have been lucky and got their letter of eligibility sooner. You can download the necessary forms on the APHRA web site, and then send off the paper work with necessary supporting documentation, this will have to be certified by a notery public, the whole process is lengthy and tedious ,but be warned you must read the required documentation very carefully, and read the forms very carefully as the APHRA office will just keep returning the paperwork to you. When I applied for the 457 visa, the letter of registration had to be submitted as supporting evidence. Hope this helps You can always ask me any further questions Regards Orla
  7. Thank you for your prompt responses,I have tried to get onto the visa site again but it has crashed, what shall i expect next ? Do they send a confirmation e.mail after payment ? Do they notify you with what documentation they want attaching for evidence? Do I just keep looking on the site to see how my application is progressing ? Ive seen on this site people mentioning a case officer Is that what I am waiting for now? Sorry to keep asking questions, but im fretting now,ive done it wrong. Gosh this is starting to take over my whole life, its sooooo stressfull Thanks again Orla
  8. Hi Everyone Can someone please help me with my 457 Visa aplication. I have spent the last 5 hours completing the form, the system kept crashing on me,what I dont understand, and excuse me for seeming incredibly stupid is,I have entered all my husbands information as requested, passport information, health questions about him etc,and submitted the payment. Not once as I was going along did it ask for information to be downloaded for supporting evidence,so where do I go to do that, and they have only asked for me to do a medical, why did they not ask for my husband . Please, please don't laugh at me, but does my husband have to do an application in his own right ? Only when we tried to complete an application for him we couldn't get very far as the TRN number I have been issued today, they dont recognise so we havn't got past the first page . I dont understand why I had to give info about my husband on my application,if he then has to fill all the same information again, I thought he was coming on my application. I feel like I have totally mucked it up now,and cant see where I have gone wrong Please help me and be gentle with your replies,I feel like crying at the moment Thanks again Orla
  9. Thanks Tazzamaraz I will try suggesting that tonight when I e.mail them Best of luck with your application Kind regards Orla
  10. Thankyou ABA Your information so far has been very helpful I shall be chasing HR up to see what the hold up is,I dont know if they lodged the nomination electronically or as a paper lodgement . I guess I am like the the thousands of others waiting to hear some news about their Visa ,its so frustrating. Bye the way I have started chewing my toe nails now !!!! Kind regards Orla
  11. Thanks ABA I am actually waiting for the TRN number from the HR dept at the hospital,I cant believe how long it takes for this number to be allocated, all I want to do is to have the number, and start the process for the visa application,I am aware that the visa process will take some time, and with the christmas shut down approaching, that will add to the waiting time. I dont suppose you know how long the immigration office closes for over the christmas period ?
  12. Hi everyone Can someone please explain to me why I have been waiting for a nomination number for over 2 weeks. All I want to do is start the application on line, does anyone know why this would be taking so long to be sent to me. I will be coming over on a 457 visa, I am a nurse and a hospital is sponsoring me. I know I am my own worst enemy, as i keep reading the threads of people who have had their visa all sorted in a few weeks, with out problems. I have chewed off all my finger nails now,and I am starting on my toe nails next. Any info on this matter would be great
  13. Hi everyone I am again off to the Notery Public to have documentation certified,we have now become best friends as I see her so often, I have been on the document check list for visa applications for the 457 visa, and once again I am totally baffled . I understand that I have send certified copies of qualification certificates, but do I have to have my CV and references certified also? I have my police check certificate, has this this got to be certified ? I hope there is some one that can help me. Regards Orla :xmas18:
