Hey guys Flying to Melbourne next Wednesday from Glasgow and have a connection in Dubai. I have 1h 55mins between flights and was just wondering if this is more than enough time to be able to grab a bite and a smoke and have a quick look around the shops in Dubai Airport. Having never been there before any advice or experiences would be much appreciated Cheers

Hi guys, I am coming over to oz on a whv in a couple of weeks and have set up an account with Westpac so I am ready to go when I get there. I am planning to transfer some funds into the account in the next few days and because I have no way of seeing the account online yet I was just wondering if Westpac let you know when funds are credited to your account, by email or something. Appreciate any help on this Thanks

Hi guys, I am bringing my golf clubs to Oz, My golf bag is mainly white and shows the usual dirt stains from use in the british weather over the last year, will be difficult to get them out. If I clean and sterilize the bag the best I can will it be ok to bring in or am I better to get a new one Thanks for any advice

Hi Guys, I am flying in to Melbourne in a couple of weeks and I was doing some reading and it says you can only bring $900 worth of general good into the country on the duty free allowance. I am planning on having golf clubs, a tablet, a laptop and possibly a camera and mobile phone with me. They are all used, most a year or longer old, nothing is new. Can anyone tell me if if I would have any problems with this or if I should be ok to bring these with me Many thanks for any help

I am coming to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa and it is my intention to work and stay in Melbourne for nearly the whole of my time. According to the ATO website you are considered a residnet for tax purposes if -you have been in Australia continuously for six months or more, and for most of the time you have been - in the same job, and - living in the same place These 3 point are exactly what I intend to do so I should be able to be considered a resident for tax purposes. My question is, do i fill out the online TFN application for Migrants or Temporary Visitors or do I treat my application like an Australian resident or does it matter? I just need to make sure I do the correct thing when I get there. I also know that your employer will give you a form to declare resident or non-resident. Any help or advice on this much appreciate as I intend to be in Australia within the next 4 weeks Thanks, Kev
