  1. Hi Gas Tech

I understand at present you may not be recruiting for this post. I was hoping I would be able to pass my CV onto your company. I have been looking for this type of job online with no success, but this position is exactly what I do at the moment with British Gas. I believe my skills and experience are exactly what you are looking for.

I am a British Gas engineer at present and have been for the last 14 years, but I have decided to make the move to sunny Melbourne hopefully by the start of (2014). I had my skills assessed by TRA which was successful for the occupation of Gas Fitter. I have a NVQ level 3 qualification in domestic natural gas maintenance. I have done all lines of work whilst working for British Gas, I worked for Transco dealing with the distribution side for 4 years, dealing with gas escapes, gas service pipe renewals and gas repairs before I moved indoors to become a technical engineer dealing with breakdowns, installation and servicing to all gas appliances such as boilers, fires, warm air units water heaters, space heaters, back boiler units AGA range cookers, gas tumble dryers and unvented hot water systems. As of next week I will be qualified to work with LPG for all the above.

I have also done a 1 year secondment role on the British Gas National Technical Help Desk dealing with a wide range of departments and providing technical support to over 7000 engineers.

I am looking for a similar job to what I have here back in the U.K although I am willing to carry out any training that is required and even become a trades assistant for a while if I have to if that would help me get my foot in the door somewhere.

At the moment I have applied for state sponsorship and expect to hear back by end of September at the latest. I hope youself or anyone else out there could assist me with this.

    Thanks in advance
