  1. Hi Vicky I'm a diagnostic radiographer who got my visa in December and moving over to Oz in August. We are going over on a 189 visa which meant I had to get my skills assessed with AIR(Australian Institute of Radiography). This was a fairly straight forward procedure. I had to provide the syllabus from my degree and transcripts, evidence of CPD, CV, and references. I believe they require you need 12 months experience for this but I am not 100%. I'd possibly contact them as they were really helpful throughout the process and really approachable. On top of this you need to gain APHRA registration which is the australian equivalent version of the HPC. I left this till last until after i'd received my visa which was a mistake. It's probably a good idea to start this process somewhere within your visa application as it's taken mine 6 months and hoping to have jumped through the last hurdle and hopefully finding out the results in the next few weeks. I know this doesn't answer alot of your questions however I only know my experience and your probably best speaking to a Mara registered agent to talk about your options for visas. They often give you a free chat about visa before trying to sign you up to them. Do your research as there are some sharks out there and make sure they are Mara registered.
  2. I haven't used an agent however a friend of mine used Emergico who are based in Oz but Leanne Stevens kept her informed all the way and she did nothing but sing her praises. Think they are now opening a UK office as well now. Good luck with your visa applications
  3. I got my visa today exactly 2 months after I was contacted by the CO. Good luck with your visa hope it comes soon.
  4. We got our visa this morning in the early hours. It feels very surreal however sure it will sink in once we get organising things. We submitted our visa application on 8th September and had CO contact on 16th October. Exactly 2 months from our CO contact the visa elf came....Lovely to get our visa before christmas now the fun begins with lots of planning
  5. It does suck but we will hear at some point. I'm trying really hard not to read anything about oct/nov + december visa applications as it's just depressing. I'm in the south of England.
  6. Hi Moh I'm in exactly the same boat. I applied on the 8/9/2015 and was asked for further info on the 23rd October (form 80 and info on work experience). Since then I've heard nothing. I rang them up on the 14th November and the lady basically said that it can take 3 months from the date you are assigned a case officer and that I should hear from them by then which will bring me up to mid January. I read on another post which said that once a CO asks you for more info then they don't look up to your file for up to 8 weeks.
  7. Well keep us posted if you have time. Will be good to hear how you get on and things I need to think about as i'm so under prepared usually xx
  8. Fab news KirstyJ. Fingers crossed it's my turn next xx 31/1/16 wow that's not long. Good luck in all your preparations xx
  9. That's absolutely amazing news. Congratulations Selina xx So What are the plans?? Where are you heading to??
  10. Thanks KirstyJ that's good enough for me. Now I need to try and get some sleep....that is before I wake up and check my emails haha
  11. I didn't get my police checks countersigned as we colour scanned them. I was told that was ok by more than one person. :arghh: Ahhhh another thing not to sleep over. It's exactly 3months since we submitted today.
  12. Me either. Hopefully some of us will hear something this week :arghh:
  13. KirstyJ that is pretty much the same as ours. Visa application sent 8/9/15...co contact 16/10/15 and nothing since. What extra info did your CO want ??
  14. Ah ok maybe that was it. I didn't get one it was just hearsay.
