  1. Just been speaking with another newly qualified plumber he recons 3 years experience is needed ,but I think there are differences in the aus plumbing industry that need more investigation also ,regs etc ?
  2. Not sure if I was looking in the wrong place but having searched seek.com I found only two music teacher posts one in Alice springs the other in the tiwi islands ,not filling me with much optimism ,must be more ?
  3. Hi when you say newly qualified plumber needing experience ,would you mind if I asked what qualifications as I plan to go to oz with my teacher partners application but I have completed a city in guilds level 1 and 2 and was wandering what more would be necessary for me to be viewed as a qualified plumber and anything I could do ,ie more courses to make me seem a better applicant
  4. Many thanks for your reply ,would anyone have any advice where I would be more likely to find a teaching post ,rural or in the cities ,state or private, east or west preferably in music .
  5. Hi .i have a 3 year BMus and 1 year PGCE does that make me not eligible ?
  6. Hi ,thinking about heading towards western oz and would like to know how easy it would be for elderly parents to move out and what the time scale would be ,I will be going with my partner and daughter on a skilled visa as a music teacher ,any advice wogreat judgegreat judge
  7. Thanks Sammy, that is really helpful. I have a 3 year Bachelor of music degree and 1year PGCE. I am really excited to hear that music is a big part of primary as well as secondary education. Is there any need to retrain with the different age group? We are still researching at the moment so not really sure about where we want to be but are looking to holiday in WA next summer to get a better idea. Do you have any advice on how to go about contacting a few schools to arrange a day visit whilst we are over there? What kind of evidence do you think I need to gather to support my application? Thank you for your response. Any other information you may have would be gratefully received. It's such a huge life changing move it is all a bit overwhelming so your advice is very welcome!
  8. Any replies from anyone about anything to do with emigrating teaching in oz would be greatly appreciated
  9. I'm thinking of heading towards the east coast but we've only just started talking about emigrating so am pretty open to where we go ,I read a thread on here just now where a teacher was offered a post after 2 Skype interviews and others where it sounds that a permanent post wouldn't be possible until the supply route had been done so I thought I'd ask what others experiences where .even the question of salaries seems hard to find an wander to
  10. Hi I'm just thinking about moving to oz with my partner,I'm a music teacher and firstly I'm wondering if its possible to find a permanent teaching post prior to moving out ?
