I completed postgraduate studies -Psychological assistance in the field of sexology but my main 5-year-studies is:Master of Art in the field of Pedagogy, Specialisation: Rehabilitation of criminals and prevention of socially maladjusted persons. I'm afraid there is nth like that in Au. It's sth between teaching and psychology. What is worse I'm the main applicant (visa 190) and I should work in my profession. Luckily, our case officer said that I don't have to work due to our babies. That's why my husband is going tomorrow to Fyshwick to leave his resume everywhere where it's possible. Wish us luck. I'm a student counsellor but I'm also a mum who's going to stay at home with children. My husband is Master of Arts Degree in Sociology but he's been working for 7 years as a sales representative (Industrial Products) in a recycling centre in Poland.

Hi, We’re new in Canberra. We came to Au a month ago and we are trying to start new life here. We have 2 babies so one of us must find a job as soon as possible. We are browsing job websites but we have limited access to the Internet until Optus connect us to the net. My husband has registered in Centerlink and he had an appointment in a Job office. The next appointment is in May:confused:. If you have any idea what more can be done (maybe any local advice?) or if you know anything about some offers for sales manager (industrial products) or even handwork, please let us know. It is very few offers for manual workers or maybe we do not know where to find it. We are very grateful for any tips.

My CO said that she couldn't see the medical results yet. I know that they were sent by post and they've been in Health Centre in Sydney from 09/09.

Do you have your medicals clear, because I have my medical examination on 29/08 and I`m still waiting for having them lodged.

Visa Lodged in May, Medicals 29/08 and I'm still waiting for having cleared them :-(

Stephen 1, What does it mean - MEDICAL UPLOADED 16 AUGUST? We've been to e-clinic for medical examination on 29 August, we didn't receive any docs to send to DIAC and we have still info that our medical examination is requested. Did you get any confirmation that DIAC receive your medical result? Grateful for any reply :-)

Hi, I need a help - I have to attach "Settlement Statement" to my documents to get visa 190. Settlement Statement: You must show that you have a realistic understanding of the settlement costs involved upon arrival in Canberra and while you seek employment. You must show evidence of your research into the cost of living in Canberra (rent, food, transport, entertainment etc), and include the following information: ♦ estimated cost of relocation to the ACT (A$: flights, freight, initial accommodation etc); ♦ details on how you researched the cost of living in Canberra; ♦ estimated cost of living in Canberra (A$ per month) ♦ breakdown of monthly living expenses. I' ve found some information about cost of rental, transport and food, but I have some problems to find the cost of child care (2-year-old and 2-month-old) and medical insurance for people who haven't find a job yet. If you know sth about it or you have any advice where I can find any needed information about cost of living in Canberra, please let me know. I will be very grateful for any help. Best Aga

Hi, Is there anybody who were nominated by ACT? I need to know if it is very difficult or if at all possibe, before I pay my migration agent for help with the whole application? I'll be very gratefull for any advice :-) Aga

Is there anybody who got the 190 visa after changes? I have 2 potential migration agents and they give me contrary information. One of them claim that the Skill Select program is dead and now there is no chance to migrate to AU not having an employer there. The other one say that it is possible on condition that I am nominated by one of the Australin state. Please, write which statement is closer to the truth??? Aga
