  1. Hey everyone Myself and my girlfriend and currently in Brisbane and on the hunt for fruit picking work ! We both are hard working and very capable but we are finding it very difficult to locate work and we are getting more and more frustrated. I was just interested if anybody had any advice on how to find fruit picking work, or advice from other couples who have done similar a similar sort of thing and what crops are ready for harvesting? If anyone has any contacts or knows anyone hiring that would also be great ! Thanks very much Rob
  2. I’m flying out to Brisbane on the 30th of October from the UK and I’m looking for Station work to help me qualify towards my 2nd year working holiday visa. I have worked on farms from a young age due to living in a rural area, so I’m confident around all manner of livestock and the farming environment. I’m an apt motorbike/motocross rider due to it being my hobby in the UK. I’m an extremely hardworking individual, I left school at 16 and completed an apprenticeship in the physically demanding electrical infrastructure industry (long hours, night work, 24 hour shifts, a lot of manual labour). I’m always up for a challenge, keen to learn, I work extremely well as part of a team, enjoy meeting new people and I’m not afraid to throw myself in and have a go! I have references to support and I can send my CV if required So if anyone knows of any jobs or has a job that might be of interest please get in touch. I’m willing to travel Thanks for listening Hope to hear from you
  3. Yes I can ride a motocross bike very well, It has been a hobby of mine for a long time so I assume this would work in my favour Thank you so much for all the help everybody really greatful. Dianaos - Im a little confused by what you said because alot of the station hand work I have found always asks for 3 months plus work, are you just refering more to the mustering of cattle which happens for a few weeks then its general stuff like fence building, water irrigation etc which takes up the rest of the time.
  4. How hard is it to get a station hand job ? I think it would be a great job to do for the 3 months regional work to qualify for the 2nd year WHV. If anyone has got any contacts or knows the best way to go about getting this type of work please let me know. You are more than welcome to inbox me the details. Also Im currently in Great Britain at the moment, I assume its best to actually be out in oz to land one of these Jobs, I cant imagine many people get one secured before they go. Any help appreciated Thanks
