  1. Thanks Maryrose You are right there are problems with islamic schools of management. And most of Muslims are not sending their children to islamic schools but its a long debate having pros and cons. Wishes xx
  2. Hi All, How do you find Islamic school in Australia. Is their quality of education is same or worse or better than public schools? Please tell also in which state you saw or experienced this school? Does anyone left Islamic school after getting admission? Why you choose Islamic school instead of public school which is far cheaper in South Australia and Victoria?
  3. yeah Benj, you are right. teaching degree is important for teaching but if you have bachelors qualification say in maths and science one year qualification as a teacher can help in starting a career as a teacher in South Australia. Sop I want to start from there. But for this diploma even they need at least three subjects already done in Bachelors like i m applying for Maths Economics and administration. But I also completed coursework of Phd in my previous study in economics and left Phd to come to Australia. That may give me points too in teaching but Au is difficult place. Once I apply for admission, I am not sure about it. All depends how many people i have to compete to get admission. But keep on track and not losing hope is my key here. Wishes xx
  4. Hi JC, you can apply just now if you haven't till now and requirement is one year work and two yr stay so you have that ...apply man and get it now. make your immiaccount and start it online immediately. but if u have lived in India they ll ask you police clearance from India for the period before application you lived there. wishes, annoisa
  5. Thanks preet, But in my case I have to get registered first, for that either i do IELTs with 7.5 in two modules and 8 or 8.5 in listening and speaking. My third option is to do one or two year teaching degree from here. it will automatically lead me to registration as a teacher. I will not do IELTS because in SA schools they still prefer local qualified teachers so I m thinking to do one year teaching course in business admin and mathematics or Economics as a specialization. it will lead me to teaching these courses at year 11 and 12. And that sounds good. best wishes for your efforts.
  6. Hi yashr, for registration we have to contact the state registration department as in South Australia is TRB (u can search on google though) and in victoria if i m not wrong its VIT for other states you have to google and this registration is with some fee and has validity for some period. If she changes state she can have new with new state. I searched all through google and went my nearest DECD office too for information. It all helped me. wishes!
  7. Hi Gurpreet, I wanted to teach so I inquired for teaching everywhere. I haven't taught before even have Bachelor with mathematics and economics, MBA , Masters in Economics Degrees With Bachelor in Education too. As I am living in SA so they said if I have to teach I need to do Graduate Diploma in Education with specialization in business admin, mathematics and economics for teaching so I am applying for that now. You already have edge by having registered with VIT so good for you. I think if you apply for jobs you may get them depending on your specializations. Second thing is write an email to DECD and give your details they ll guide you good. Or you can call them too. Cheers, Annoisa
  8. Hi everyone, I just want to know in Victoria any training or apprenticeship can lead to job in education sector or administration or frontdesk jobs?Is there any hope if anyone does that by the end of the rope which is I saw on net for 18 months(the courses for traineeship or apprenticeship take 18 month) And does anyone got job by this process ever as an immigrant having permanent resident visa? Wishes,
  9. Hi everyone thanks for the thread but I heard in Victoria if you take training or apprenticeship by victorian government you can get job. Anyone heard about that? Many indian friends got job with that process I heard. I am living in south australia and thinking to move to Victoria in december
  10. Are there any laws for lecturers like they hav trb in south australia for teaching in schools want to know any link for Victoria as I am shifting there soon
  11. Even ready to do a phd but what I saw as a domestic student fees are much high ...but will try in near future.
  12. Thanks mungbean, I have no good information for entering the universities as lecturer and secondly have no prior experience for that. What is TEQSA? Can you give me link or guide me? Secondly i searched for teaching economics on secondary levels it has procedure get registered with TRB then DECD etc etc. So was thinking of that but if I can get even one lecture here I will be able to enter a good career here.(even for secondary teaching I need to do at least one year teaching course here which I can easily do. And for diploma in business because I have MBA too and have worked in administartion previously for few years and that the only thing i felt handy to start with as an admin or frontdesk job. Rest I am confused what to do and how to start here. Australian job market is so difficult to enter. Even as a volunteer no jobs because govt does nt allow companies or universities to get work without pay from anyone. Wishes, Annoisa
  13. Hi Luke, I left that factory job and now seeing full time and administration job as I have done MBA before and now doing Diploma in Business from TAFE. But what is I want to be is become a teacher here. They need 8 in IELTS in South Australia for teaching. My Visa is 475 which is temporary visa and will convert to Permanent visa in August this year hopefully. After PR I can change state and would love to know if you have any information to work as a teacher for long term and even for administration job. I have done MBA, Bachelor in education and Masters in economics and MPhil in economics. But confused for applying or moving forward as everyone says no jobs in Australia. Please give me some hope. Wishes!!! Annoisa
  14. hi All. I came here on TR visa. now want to study after getting PR. For studying commonwealth supported place is needed. Do anyone know about it. Secondly for getting admission in M Ed. the conditions are tough for non English speakers. IELTS speaking listening 8 and remaining two modules 7.5. Can anyone suggest any easy way to do M Ed. for teaching secondary classes? I will get PR in 2015. After will start study. But planning and seeing my options for admission. Looks hard to me??? Annoisa
  15. Hi Connaust, I am not sure I will get such opportunity to take any classes part time anywhere but I will surely try. I sent my enquiries to Uni of Adelaide and UniSA and waiting for their reply. Though calling there I came to know on my visa 475 I can study part time even taking one subject a semester which means i can do job here in suburbs and study side by side though charged as International student. But still I will start as it will be a relaxing spot that by the end of the day i can have a good opportunity. Universities do their own assessment for previous study. So they will start from here. The course for teaching was for one year before now changed to 2 years. So slowly doing it till PR I will complete a good part of it. But I shall surely search for your suggested work as a teacher in different places. Is working as a volunteer is an option in Australia too? In October my 1 year condition for working fully will complete so i can go for that too. Looking forward for your more assessments too. Thank you, Annoisa
  16. Thank You Sammy I applied for diploma in business with Tafe but after seeing your answer I think I should straight away start my teaching studies and go FOR TEACHING instead of any other job. 18. Thank you Luke, I am busy with tough schedule of job and family here so not possible to go to DECD in Adelaide office to get first hand information but someone said that they need 8.5 in IELTS or alternatively have to do the 4 years education degree. Still incomplete information but will get all. Thank you for the link. I ll surely go through it and see any better options. And my mathematics is good and i ll see this option too. But did you ever hear about volunteer teachers in schools for mathematics just for experience in SA? wishes, Annoisa
