Hi I am planning to go to UK for six months,then returning to Australia to start my visa application,my pension has been frozen since I got it five years ago as have been in south africa,then Australia. I have been told that if I stay in the UK for six months it will go up, i am talking about the stae pension,has anyone done this,and do you state to the pension dept that you are there for six months,or do you tell them you have returned to UK to live,then inform them you are leaving after the six months,any advice would be helpful thanks

Hi Please could I have some advice. I purchased a portable dvd player and got home to surprise kids to find granny had already purchased one for them also as a surprise for our trip. How does in work in Oz if I return unopened to the shop with receipt will they give a refund or do I have to take something else for the value. Thanks in advance

Hi would love some feedback on starting a small business,my husband is an electrian and I am a bookeeper,we were in Perth for a year converting his licence and working as a trade assitant for Besam,thats the automated doors. I get bad allergy from dust and got sinus infections so often the doc said move We have moved with our three children to Port Macqurie NSW,its a lovely place,but have been here three months and only managed to get a months work with Men at Work,have applied for loads of jobs,been round to the electrical contractors,nothing So now only option seems to betrying to do something ourselves,but being new to Australia not sure what would work so any ideas please

Iwas reading about importing stuff from Amazon to Australia and got very excited as it said if you spend more than twenty five pounds you get free postage ordered some grocery orders came to fifty pounds,a lot of the things I wanted like biscuits and pull on nappies they said I could not get,then they came up with a hundred and fifty pounds to post it,so rather deflated has anyone done this ,am I doing something wrong
