Thanks for all your replies - we have just accepted an offer on the house - we are both nearly 50 - have 2 kids: girl just turned 15 and boy nearly age 10. We have validated visas - a few years ago. Bit concerned about the kids settling in - especially my daughter - but she is really keen to emigrate. Also what is the employment like - I am an ICT project manager - I know its very costly - so would want to get a job as soon as possible - we are trying to apply from here but seems we need to be in the country - not sure if anyone else has had much luck applying from the UK - any tips for this would be appreciated?

We have permanent resident visas and have to leave the UK soon before our visas expire. We sometimes feel its the right thing and then we are not sure - how are things really out there? Any advice?
