Hi, we arrived in Feb this year and are renting in the anchorage which is a new estate, its lovely and quiet, but since starting work and spending all day with aussies you will find none of them live in Rocko, as we are looking to buy they have all said as long as you stay on the beach side of read street you will be fine, this is because there are no housing association on that side its all privately owned homes, we have just purchase in Waikiki no far from the beach. like people on here have said have a good look around and keep an open mind, we were even going to go inland like Byford or Surpentine but I am told its to cold in winter and to hot in summer (cant win ha).

Hi Deborah, thanks for getting intouch, you will be arriving just in time for the summer, its has been gorgeous today, 22oC just like a summers day in england, in the morning when I go to work at 6am it is around 13oC at the min but by 10am its lovely and warm, speaking to the fellas in work they say autumn and spring are the best months. when we arrived in Feb it was 40oC but it was dry heat not humid, so it was nice. You will love it here, kids have settled well my 9 year old is in safety bay primary which is a good school he loves it and theres plenty of english kids their. we are renting in the achorage in Rockingham at the min nice place but we are looking to buy soon, do you have accommodation sorted for when you arrive?
