Hi Guys I have trawled through the forum but cant find the exact answer i'm looking for. I am travelling to Sydney arriving on 1st May 2013, and i'm trying to make sense of what medical cover or insurance i need for my year in Oz. I've read about the reciprocal agreement between the UK and Aus but what does this cover me for? I know I need to register with Medicare on my arrival but do I need any further cover? Hi all I am looking into the possibilty of moving to oz and looking for as much help and info as possible, to assist me in the process etc. I am currently working and studying PT and graduate next year (July 2013) with a BSc Quantity Surveying (Hons). I currently work as a QS for a company within the UK whilst studying and by the time I graduate will also have 5 years experience in the sector. I will be 29yo when i graduate and will be emigrating alone, no gf, wife or kids. Ideally I would like to be near to a major city i.e Sydney, Melbourne etc. However Sydney is preference as my uncle has a business based in Tomago, NSW and does a lot of work in and around Sydney so this would give me some family contact when he is in the country. I am really looking for advice on when I should start the process and what I need to do in the first instance. Thanks Jonathan
