That's the one! I'm not in the parent visa queue but assume I can go the 3 year route, I fail the balance of family test though, 3 kids and only 1 citizen in Oz. Failing that I guess it's the subclass 600 visitor option for each visit between 6 and 12 months? Confirmation I have this right would be appreciated or better option if available....thanks.

Guys, I recall a visa being launched a few years ago (3 or 4 perhaps) for parents of citizens and permanent residents. It was granted (I think) for 4 or 5 years and allowed multiple stays of up to 12 months during that period. I can't find it the website, help much appreciated. Thanks!

No experience of the example you mention but one thing is for sure, Australia control immigration more effectively than the UK/Europe.

Thanks, given that I don't work I'm assuming the business visa is not appropriate. However, if you get the 3 month visa initially, go to NZ at the end of that 3 months and return to Sydney 3 days later how do you secure a further 3 month stay, surely you have to apply for another visa which takes longer than the time you are away?

Guys, I normally use an eVisitor 651 to cover a 3 month stay to visit my daughter. If I wanted to make it longer (say 6, 9 or 12 months) what visa would be most appropriate, how easy is it to get and what conditions might be imposed? Thanks!
