I've been in Sydney a few weeks. Moved here with boyfriend, he's s got lots of sports friends, but would really like to meet people around my age for shopping trips, lunches, coffee cinema etc!!! I'm female aged 26 originally from Suffolk/Essex border Let me know if you wanna meet up!

Myself and my boyfriend will be heading to oz in about June 2013 on working holiday visas. We hope that we will be able to find work and obtain sponsorship from an employer during our time there allowing us to stay and work for many years to come. I just wondered if any of you have obtained visas through this route or know anyone who has? I hear of lots of brits doing this but I wanted to know what is the likely hood of it happening?My boyfriend has lots of skills and qualifications but I myself have just GCSE's, A-Levels and 7 years working expereance as an Immigration Officer in the UK.Any thoughts/advise would be great!Thank you!

I think 5k is a perfect amount, my boyfriend has just had his second working holiday visa granted and I will be putting my WH visa in tomorrow. He went out the first year with 3K, worked after being there for 3 weeks and always had enough money! cost of living is high but wages are higher than here too. I hope to take about 5K myself when we head out in June to sydney!Good luck and have a great time!

Myself and my boyfriend have decided to move to Oz next year, we will be on a working holiday visa but hoping to find sponsorship from permanent jobs and stay forever :)We are going to be ready to head over anytime from June 2013 but we wondered if there's a time of year which is best to aim for, when most jobs are available, when flights are cheapest or even when the weather is best? What advise would you give?Thanks!

Does any one know if my boyfriend would qualify for for the second working holiday visa, he worked for over 3 months in an area of work they require to qualify. He left Oz last August and has been living and working in the UK since. I discovered you can apply for the second visa from outside Oz but I cannot find out if there is a time limit when you need to apply again or is it any time before you are 30?Does anyone know the answer to this? I will be very greatful if you do!ThanksHannie
