  1. Great! Sounds like a plan. Will see you there.
  2. Tuesday afternoon was only a suggestion. Please suggest an alternative. Would be really nice to all meet up.
  3. How about we all meet up at koko blacks at 1.30pm on Tuesday? Would love to bring along my three year old to meet you all too.
  4. Barton is where my husband stayed when he first arrived -he really liked it. koko blacks in Civic sounds good to me - you are the second person that has recommended it to me Quoll so it has to be good!Have started my little girl in a nursery Friday and Monday between 11.30 and 2.30 but that's my only commitments so far for next week. Happy to meet Monday or Tuesday? Let me know a time that suits and well be there.
  5. Hi, my daughter and I arrived in Canberra on Thursday last week from Scotland. My husband has been here for three months as he got a job and had to move quickly. We have rented a house in Casey which is lovely, from L J hooker in Gungahlin. They are really helpful! It's two minutes from gold creek school (not sure about schools as my little girl is only 3).There is also a dog walking park just up the road. Would love to meet you for a coffee and maybe help each other out with info on areas etc. As you said social life is a little non existent right now!
  6. Hi, . We havent booked flights yet as we're just getting ready to put our house on the market but are hoping to leave Bonnie Scotland in August or September this year. Have a toddler and took her over last year to valiate our Visas and thought it was a lovely place, although seems very expensive when your spending pounds. Only hope we can get jobs really quickly. It looks like a nice place to bring up kids. I love Perth too and would have loved to have moved there but I think that for work and access to the rest of Australia, ACT has its advantages!
  7. Hi, We have a 2 and a half year old and are heading out to Canberra for good hopefully later this year. Went out last year to validate our Visas. My daughter, then just under two was great on the flights and handled it better than we did. We flew Emirates via Dubai and into Sydney, spent a couple of nights in Sydney and then took the train to Canberra. Train jouney is really relaxing. Will probably look into doing a stop over in Singapore or somewhere next time if finances allow as it is a very long journey. Would love to keep in touch with anyone going through this too.
