My family and I are just going through the shipping process using Crown Relo and they have been exceptional so far. Very professional and constantly updating us via phone and email from both the UK and Australian end. Its daunting enough moving abroad so its priceless to have this reassurance at this chaotic time. Good evening everybody. Moving to Brisbane shortly on 457 visa and have the ATO form for tax declaration. I've had a look at the ATO website and still not clear. Work contract/457 visa is for 4 years......am I classed as a resident for tax purposes? Any comments/advice/answers greatly appreciated :smile:

Good evening everybody. My family and I are moving to Oz shortly and the company who are sponsoring me will cover costs for a container from Liverpool to Brisbane. I have a couple of questions......What is the normal shipping time for a container to get to Oz and what might the average/normal customs/import duty be at the other end. The container will be a forty footer and the only thing the company does not cover is the duties once it arrives. We are a family of 3 and the container will have the contents of an average three bedroomed house/golf clubs/cycles etc. Any advice/answers/experiences will be greatly appreciated :biggrin:
