We are having a tough time finding a rental NOR in Perth also. We fly out saturday and could only manage to book something for a week, due to limited availability and price etc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we find something quickly, we know the area we want to go but the agents could be a bit more helpful. Do you have to jump through hoops to sign for a rental? We haven't sorted work out yet and have both been self employed in the uk, so don't have previous wage slips, just self assesment stuff. Any advise on paperwork to bring would be great and thanks for the warning about school. Many Thanks Kevin

Anyone know if Hilti, Paslode, Spit nails, cartridges etc. are available in Perth? Don't want to bring the tools over if they won't work. Same goes for missus !!

Thanks Sebbers - I have been looking at courses and it looks as if the licence can be done at home on an Open Uni basis, with a maximum of 4 years to complete. I am wanting to build my own houses and suppose I will need one for this? Thanks Kev

Ok thanks. Only been back for a couple of weeks after activating visa and missing it already!! Don't expect it to be a walk in the park, I've been a pub landlord for last 18 months due to not much building work here, but you only live once and that won't be very long if I stick with this, beer belly and all !!!

Hi - I am a house builder / bricklayer in the UK with only 3 weeks left before our move to Perth. I have been told I will need to obtain a licence to build projects over $20k can anyone advise me on this, I was going to go on site putting house shells up to start with till I know what the crack is and start building our own, so any advise on this would be much appreciated.
