  1. In our case (2011) it took 4 months for LA to be signed, 09/11 - 01/12 to be precise.
  2. Welcome, Just to be on the safe side I would suggest you check if all medicals were finalized, otherwise its a painful waiting game and the visa will eventually be granted. Good Luck!
  3. Hi Mansawant, Great to learn that things are progressing well, just a point of emphasis on AHPRAH, just make sure you chase things up with them to be on the safe side. Its good to hear that Runner is doing well too. We are loving every moment of our stay in Orange.
  4. Great stuff, we are loving Australia, come join us!!!!!
  5. We are heading for Orange and the hospital has offered to pick us up in Sydney and take us straight to their accommodation where we can stay for 8 weeks - 3 months, Guys please check out for one way tickets with Singapore airlines, Qantas, Royal Brunei, Emirates, they offer 40kg for those on PR visas to Oz, Qantas and Emirates may want you to open a bank account with certain banks in Oz to qualify for their schemes. Hope this info helps.....
  6. Great Stuff, fingers crossed. We have booked our tickets for the 30th of May, as you can imagine its hectic time for us!
  7. Beginning of June is more realistic for us!
  8. Mansawant, your acknowledgement will arrive soon and if they dont ask for anything else then you can relax knowing its all going well, surely these visas dont take very long! Roughly 8 weeks for us!
  9. Good Luck Leepee, responding to your earlier question ... I think we will move beginning of June, partner has already given notice!
  10. Windfall......................visa granted today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hi Leppee, DIAC told us PR visa applicants whether they are medical professionals or not don't need Hep B or C tests, if you do them its still fine but they simply wont use them. Its all here http://www.immi.gov.au/gateways/panel_doctors/conducting_medicals/instructions/ and in your case Leepee as was the case with us they did not request Hep B/C tests. Good luck!
  12. Dear Isis, I suggest getting in touch with recruitment agencies like Profco, etc as they have a good chance of getting you that job, finding a job in Cities like Melbourne is a pretty competitive process and mainly they offer 457 visas, if you are keen on PR try regional areas. IELTS is a must esp if part of your education is from overseas (see English language requirements - AHPRA), however as I understand it if you are on employee nominated schemes you dont need any skills assessment with ANMC, only need to register with AHPRA (thats what we did). Keep your head high as the whole process requires your patience and sustained endurance ..... and never give up your dream!!!
  13. Hi there, Labour agreements take quite a while to negotiate, my rough guess is at least 4 months (main source: forums), once approved the rest of the processes seem like smooth sailing. Wish you the best of luck.
