  1. Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely declare the items. I've been really careful not to take anything that might be a problem.....seen way too many episodes of Nothing to Declare!!
  2. Hi all, Time has just flown by and i will be leaving for Perth on Wednesday morning. I just wanted to ask if anyone knew whether I should declare (on the declaration form on the plane) that I will be carrying 3 months supply of tablets (thyroid medication). And also i will be taking some Quality Street sweets for a friend...should I declare these too? Personally I think I should (rather safe than sorry) but just though I would ask. On a slightly seperate note, I will be flying on an A380 (Malaysian Air), do they have anywhere while seating to charge a mobile phone through the USB? Thanks all!!!
  3. Sonofthesoil71, did you ever make a decision on whether to move or not? I'm 3 weeks away from moving to Perth and although I'm really nervous I'm also really, really excited!!! Not sure how I will fare in the heat though after all these years in the UK!
  4. Thanks for the response! It just seems odd that after all the paperwork, tests, documentation etc. all it comes down to is your passport. I'm used to pages and pages of forms at this stage! Thanks for the bank advice, we've decided to open an account with nab and transfer our funds through Moneycorp. I will definitely make sure to have a copy of the Grant Letter just in case. Thanks again from the snowy UK!!!
  5. Hi all, This may seem a bit of a daft question but I (and my wife and son) have been granted 176 visa's and I will be going over to Perth in three weeks time to start work. Are there any forms/ requirements/ paperwork that I need when arriving or is it basically just my passport and visa that i need? I know that I'll need other documents for house hunting/ bank accounts etc. but for actually getting through the airport all I need is the visa...right? Thanks!
  6. Hi all!! Another Zim-Pom (and hopefully Aussie) here! I can't really comment on life in Oz as we aren't there yet (fingers crossed though) but I just wanted to say hi! realitynotincluded, I'm glad to hear that you like Perth as that is our intended destination. I was born and brought up in Hwange and Bulawayo so hopefully Perth will feel slighty familiar.
