I live in the Indooroopilly area and would not recommend relying on finding car parking around the Indooroopilly or Taringa train stations on weekday mornings. There are no station car parks at either station. Chelmer, I'm not sure on, but trains notwithstanding, you're on the "wrong side of the bridge", (the Walter Taylor bridge) assuming that you need to get into Brisbane by car at some point.
Indooroopilly is popular and expensive but the shopping centre apart, it is rather a facilities desert and I believe that it is expensive as there are several schools perceived to be good, close together in the area.
