  1. Hi all,

Well that year has gone quick! A year of PR as of yesterday and today I have been able to start my citizenship application (the app blocked me from proceeding prior to this).

Anyway started to fill this in and theres a few things I was hoping you guys could clarify or me (I've looked for existing threads but can't see any):

    1. It asks about "Other citizenships" for both the application and the applicants parents - I'm assuming here that they are looking for other duals and not my british citizenship considering I provided passport details which proves this?

    2. This is the key one....There is a section that states:

"Since the age of 18, has the applicant lived or travelled outside of Australia?

Give details of all countries that the applicant has lived in or travelled to since turning the age of 18, include:

    • Work or study outside of Australia

[*]Holiday or leisure, including visits to the applicants country of origin

      [*]Business

      [*]Military deployment"

So seriously now I have to list ALL my holidays overseas from the age of 18 and up? With specific dates? I've been to nearly 20 countries and don't have a full audit trail of dates so have other people come across this and what did you do?

Many thanks in advance for all the help

    Chris

  2. Spoke with immigration today, my visa is scheduled to be looked at again next week but if my nom is outstanding still (due to 457 monitoring team) it will go back in the queue then looked at 28 days later and so on and so on until my nom comes through. My nom can't be finalised until 457 monitoring team are satisfied my company are meeting their obligations. No more paper work is required by them so hopefully they have nearly finished up.

Good luck mate, hopefully it gets resolved soon!

  3. OMG! After Chris' great news, I just checked my ImmiAccount and my status has changed to 'Finalised'!!

Whooo hoooo!!! What a relief lol........

Wishing everyone on here all the best and hope your big day comes very very soon. Thanks for all the support and sharing of experiences, it has kept me very sane!!!

    Congrats Mel!!! :):)

  4. Hi all,

    Permanent Residency Approved today!!!!

My Turn to add my timeline and first post on this thread that I have been following for some time now.

186 Direct Entry - Marketing Specialist

    Nomination Application lodged: 25th March 2015 - Nomination approved: 22nd July 2015

Visa Application lodged: 14th April - Visa Approved: 29 July 2015

I never uploaded the Form 80, no need for it in my case.

I had done all health examinations before lodging the visa application.

Best of luck to all of you who are still waiting, my advise is be patient, it will happen soon enough!

    Lily

    Many congratulations!

  5. Just wanted to add my information.

Applied for TRT 457->186 on the 24th April 2015, both Nomination and VISA Application was submitted.

Checked at 4.00pm and the Status said Application Received.

Checked my work email not 10 minutes ago and seen an email from my MA, thought it was a request for further information ..... but it was an email saying my PR has been granted!!!!!!

Congrats!! The day after my visa submission so fingers crossed for mine!!

  6. Well our Day has finally arrived. PR approved today at 11.00am

We have not really posted too much on here, but have followed the thread with great interest and anticipation.

Was not asked for any additional docs. Applied with MA, Decision ready, NSW office.

Check out time line in Signature.

Good Luck to everybody on here, its a fantastic feeling when that approval email comes through.

    Cheers

    Congrats!

  7. Yep, that is correct R1ggers, however the Bridging Visa Grant that is issued at the time you lodge your visa application (even if your 457 has not yet expired), states that if your Temporary Business Visa (457) is still valid then you must either contact your CO or apply for a Bridging Visa B if you wish to travel overseas.

I've travelled overseas twice since lodging my application and no issues. The bridging visa B is only needed if you are re-entering Australia once your 457 has expired as the Bridging visa A you get by default would not allow you to re-enter the country.

  8. Morning all! Today was the day for us :)

Visa grant notification is in my immi account this morning.

    Nomination & Visa application submitted 2nd April 2015 (457 to 186 TRT + 187 Defacto)

Nomination & Visa application granted 20th July 2015

    Occupation: Management Consultant.

Best of luck to all those who are waiting.

    congrats!

  9. OK so for all of you holding out there here's a timeline to make you realise yours isn't so bad after all!

    Nomination lodged : 14 June 2014 (yes 2014!)

    Visa lodged : 14 June 2014

    Class: ENS 186 (Labour agreement)

    Nomination granted : 17 July 2015

    Visa granted : 17 July 2015

So our 13 month wait is over and we finally have our PR visas granted. Its been one helluva long wait but worth it for the feelings we have right now.

This forum has been a godsend during some very dark times. Hang in there everybody and good luck to you all.

Many congratulations DML!!! I can only imagine how relieved you are today!!!
