  1. Hi guys, I've just received my paperwork for the second stage (100) defacto spouse visa. I imagine you have done all the paperwork in the Uk (big file of evidence). The second part seams too easy. All we have to do is a stat dec from me, and one from my partner (sponsor) and do a AFP police check, that is it!

    Hope it helps

  2. hi guys, i have some good news..:biggrin::biggrin:

    my visa was granted today!!!

my CO was WP (bless her :) )

such a relief now! I still keep fingers crossed for those who are waiting ..:)

Congratulations mate, she is working hard. Hope he can get mine out tomorrow. Would be a.strange coincidence that our house sale completes tomorrow after a 14 month wait. Couple of angels looking down on us

  3. HIi, I reached 4 months a few days back, and as we have just moved in with my mother, thought it was a good time to ring my CO WP, to advise her of my new address. Thought I would ask her again if she knew when it was likely to come through as that is all we are waiting for before we can book everything. To my suprise she did not give me the normal 5-6 months she said this week or at the latest next week

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    Sydney here we come

  4. FINALLY! We received email confirmation this morning.

Visa lodged 26/04, CO assigned 04/05 (AB), Medicals & Police Cert sent 15/05, Subclass 100 visa granted 26/08

What a relief!!! hope all the other april applications are progressed as quickly as ours (4 months exactly)

Congratulations Aussidad. 4 months exactly for me tomorrow. maybe they will be kind and grant it a day early. Due to exchange contracts on our house today. So not to quote take that " today this could be, the greatest day of our lives"

ps not a take that fan

  5. Hi Peemacgee, very close to your date , it was 19th of April .. I got an email at the beggining of August saying no further info needed and decision will be made between 19.09 and 19.10.. or earlier than given timeframes ..but she coudn't make any guarantees at that time.. uff

i gave my notice at work 2 weeks ago.. so my leaving date at work will be on 15th of november.

What about you ? have you heard from her?

Hi lindon, i received an email from her on 13th may saying she had received all additional info. Did health check start of June. Hope she hurries up, she seams to do them just over 4 months.

  6. I am approved! Finally nudged our MA this morning about what was happening and it turns out we were actually granted on Friday 19th August! Very happy, and to be honest any excuse to drink a bottle of champers on a Monday is valid with me! Looking forward to the bank holiday for some more celebrating too.

Many thanks to everyone who has helped me out on here, whether it's been through conversation or just posting useful info about the whole process - it's been an addictive lifeline. Good luck to everyone applying, waiting and starting their new lives down under - I'll be over soon!

    Here's our timeline:

10/03/11 - All docs sent to MA.

17/03/11 - Lodged application to AHC for Partner 309 Visa.

We are in the final stages of booking our shipping company and I have booked flights for the beginning of December to Sydney with Singapore Airlines.

    :jiggy:

Congratulations, bet you thought it would never.come through. I'm counting the days til ours comes.through. hopefully will be 4 months and not 5 I will lose my marbles.

Where about in Sydney are you going?

  7. Hate to break the bad news, but I think it was just as bad sorting out Satch as assembling the evidence for hubbies spouse visa!

We're going via a pet-travel agent (jets4pets) and they're sorting it all. Best advice i have is to get as many quotes as you can and challenge anything you're not sure about - but most of all, go with your gut. Fingers crossed Satch passes her blood tests or I'll be absolutely gutted :(

She's a rescue dog - trying to figure out how to attach another photo from today but failing miserably :)

I know they could make it easier, we have gone with airsupply and decided to do most of the work ourselves, have ypu say our vet is great he has basically told me.when I get the paperwork to take it all on as early as possible with the date for the.flight.and he will sort out all dates for everything. So fingers crossed everything works out

  8. Cheers!

Yah, she's our viscous attack labrador (no, not a typo, definitely viscous)

    - guaranteed to nudge anyone who might possibly have food and calmly allow small children to put hats on her and hang toys from her collar and generally do anything at all without batting an eyelid

How are you getting on with all the info for your dog? we sent off for his import permit yesterday,, and vet is all prepared for him, I'm finding sorting him out more.stressful

  9. Hey Adelaide and Peemacgee,

I've just been busy trying not to think about it, but it is a nail-biter indeed! Sounds good about booking flights, and shipping.

I'm looking into shipping at the moment, that's another kettle of fish! Flights to be booked as soon as it comes though.

Sorry for being coy, but I'd rather not reveal who our CO is, I don't want to give any ammo to challenge visa etc. But I know I'm being over conscious about it. BTW We haven't got the same CO.

    Cheers

No worries samc about being coy, just looks like yours was taking longer than others. Bet you are checking your email every 5 mins. I'm hoping ours comes soon, we are due to exchange contracts on our house in next few days, removal are sorted, but going to have to move in with mum for a while, whilst we sort our dogs details out. Hopefully going in October if all goes well.

  10. Hello

Great news - just got the e-mail to confirm that my partner visa has been granted. Effectively a turnaround of 3.5 months - surely a record! JF was my case officer.

Good luck to all still waiting.

Congratulations that is superb, I put mine in the day before, but have WP hope she does it as quick. As we are moving out of our house in next couple of weeks so might have a double celebration
