Bankys thanks again for the info. I had a look at the link and looks like some of what they do is the sort of stuff I do just now. As for a change of job in telecoms, I would be willing to look at possiblities. Even if I have to do some courses to get me qualified for any changes I would need to do, I would consider them.

Hi Banksy, Thanks for the info. What kind of heights do you work at? climb poles here and am comfortable working with my safety harness, not too afraid of heights as far as I am aware but probably not been up too high compared to you I take it there would be courses to do for working at height and learning the job. I would consider most things, my wife will be the main visa applicant but need to wait until Ocotber before we can put a expression of interest in as she needs to have 3 years post qualification experience (Clinical Psychologist) which she has at the start of October. Once October come we will be putting in the EOI and hopefully get asked to apply for a visa.

Banksy is there much telecoms work in Oz just now? I am also a Openreach engineer doing residential and business installs and repair, doing UG, overhead and broadband.

Can't help Danny but am interested in any replies as I am also an Openreach engineer thinking about moving.
