hi guys I would like some advice. I am a permanent resident here and a few days ago my partner lied to me he said he has contract job overseas but actually he went to thailand and had some fun. I think he slept with like prostitutes there or something. I saw a lot of condoms in his bag and breakfast coupons of the hotel he checked in. I had a feeling he is doing something since 4 months ago I got curious and checked his dashboard in the car and found a box of old condoms there, 3 pcs were missing I ignored it cuz I thought maybe he had it longtime ago even before we even met. but 3 weeks ago I checked the glovebox again and foudn a new box of condom there! 2 pcs were missing one was in his wallet and God knows where is the other one.

Weve been living together for 11 months now but he applied the de facto visa just 6 months ago. I dont have sex with him cuz im a christian and I want to do it only after marriage. He is beginning to be very blatant about his lies and he thinks im stupid and will not discover about this. I am planning to pack my bags and leave him this week. Anyone knows how do I cancel his de facto visa? My friend actually advised me from the start that he might just be interested to get the visa thats why he made a relationship with me. Im happy I found out about this soon if not I will have waste more of my time with him. He still has his student visa also now valid for 3 more months so i was thinking to cancel his de facto visa and he will just return having a student visa.

I certainly dont want this to happen to any girl again making relationship with them just to get a visa! I want to teach him a lesson!

Hi guys. Im in the same situation. I got my 176 visa last year august 17 2012. I have a south australia state sponsored visa. But I decided to see Sydney first when I arrive here last year on September. In Sydney there are plenty of jobs for me I am now currently working since last year in Sydney.

Recently I checked my email, South Australia Immgiration send me an email:

Dear ..............................,

Our records show that you have been granted a state sponsored skilled visa.

Our records show that you have not registered your arrival online.

Immigration SA is required to monitor your residence in South Australia for the first two years after your arrival.

They send me this email. I dont know if I should just keep ignoring this email or should I tell them I am here now in Australia but living in NSW. Im just scared if I tell them if they will take any actions to cancel my visa or something?!?!?

Sure. To be exact it took 60 days for it to be approved from the day I lodged it on 19th of June. On reading peoples signature here the longest waiting time for the visa approval seems to be like 3 months. And in my case I was right hihi.

My medicals were not referred. I did my medicals on 5th of July. Then on the 7th my stat says further medical results received and on the 11th it says Health requirement finalised. I was quite worried since when I did my medicals I told the doctor that I had tuberculosis 8 yrs ago when I was still in college and teh doctor took note of it. I thought it would be a problem for the visa since I had a past history of tb but it didnt had any effects on the visa. Just play the waiting game a bit more and youll get the visa soon!

would you please share if your medicals were referred and if yes when did they and when were they finalised... thank you so much...

Is there anyway I can request my case officer to reassign me to team 2? Cuz so far team 2 has the most number of visas approved lately. team 7 only 1 visa approved so far in almost 2 months now. :frown:

Not sure if that will help but Ill do call them if I still dont hear a word from them before Aug 15. For that day my application would be around 2 months now. Just wish for this waiting thing to come to an end, had too much of it already in applying this visa. :confused:

I didn't get any reply from my CO...I only got a mail from my CO that asked me for meds..

I'm wondering that do we need to call DIAC to push COs?

me too havent heard from my co for 17 days now. They reply to you quickly when they request for your meds and pccs. But after youve done them they become elusive in replying hehe. :err:

Usually it takes less than a week for them to change the status of your meds, since I think after they get the results they upload it right away.

Completed our Meds today - Keeping fingers crossed now !!!

 

Can anyone let me know how will i get to know if the hospital where i did my meds have completed their uploading of the med reports ?

Will there be any update on the website that the CO has received the report ?

Hi June Gang. Anyone here had their visa grant recently? Havent heard from my co for weeks now. I have submitted my pccs last July 20th and done also with my meds. And emailed them if they received my pccs since it was mailed from Singapore. But my co still has no reply from me.

Hope I get a decision on my visa app soon. Since Ive already booked my ticket hehe on sept 30th going to Sydney. If I still dont have a visa decision that time my tickets going straight down the bin. Wasted!:goofy:

Worst morning of my life. Just had an email from my CO stating I dont meet points criteria so I must withdraw my application. So many dreams, so much time and effort, not to mention the cost all gone down the drain.

What to do now......give up or find another visa.

Looks like its back to the drawing board.

Right. Once you get a case officer, they usually reply to you via email and they attach this form 80 on the email. Its like an 18 page form just asking details about you and other stuff. If your still waiting for a co, maybe the form 80 is also on diacs website, you can fill that up and scan it so once you get a co you can send it back to them quickly. :cute:

I lodged my application on the 27th of June, and I've uploaded all relevant documents except the police report and medicals.I await the allocation of a case officer like everybody else but I keep seeing this form 80 and wonder what it is?

 

It is my understanding that once a case officer is assigned to one's application, they will take a look at uploaded docs, ask for outstanding documents (if any) and request police certificate and medicals. Right?

I dont think its your browser I think their website themself is the one that gets affected by the glitch. I have a feeling theres a lot more people that do experience the glitch maybe they havent not posted here. :cute:

I did but the part with the show money amounts are the only fields that got cleared on my application. So I emailed them back about this after my application but in the end I had a refused application due to insufficient funds. I was furious so I emailed them and I stated that there was a glitch online and they believed me. I told them I will send my bank account copies to show that I really have funds so I ended up doing that. After that I got an approved state sponsorship the next day.

You should email them immediately about this matter I think somehow they know that glitches do happen. Just tell them there was a glitch and they will accept your reason.

From what I observed on peoples timeline signature here, I noticed that they assign a co to you quickly depending on what state sponsored you. As for me, I was ss by south australia, and they do assign a co in just a couple of days. Mine took 6 days to get a co after I lodged my 176 online. West Aus ss seem to take longer to assign a co from what im seeing here it takes 2-4 weeks or longer.

I lodged my application yesterday 27/06/12 but when I tried to upload my documents immediately, it said my application wasn't ready to receive uploaded documents. Also, on my checklist, it still lists many documents as required. Is it after I have been assigned a CO that my documents will be called for? I really need help on what to do after one's visa application has been filled and paid for. Where do I go to upload documents?

There are differing opinions on this. Many of the May team pre loaded their meds and PCC's. I waited until I was asked. Guess who is still waiting to receive their grant - yes me. If I had my time again I would pre load to save delays.
