Hi all,

Recently returned to perth and was shocked that you need ARTC (Australian recognised trade cert) for all jobs now. I left last last feb and don't remember recruiters being so strict. On further research it costs $2850 to get it done, I was working as a fitter machinist before I left in feb. This cant be confused with the TRA you need for migration purposes. I have PR and this comes as a blow as it takes 3 months min to get. Is it recoverable at the end of tax year? Am I wrong or has anyone a similar situation? DO YOUR HOMEWORK PEOPLE BEFORE COMING OUT!
