  1. I am just starting this whole process....is there any posts that detail the whole process and the order to do it in?

IELTS exam, then AHPRA, then skills assessment then apply for visa?

For AHPRA I need to get course syllabus, pharmacology clinical hours and academic transcripts sent from uni- do they send them to us so we can get them certified?

A copy of a degree certificate/passport/driving licence/marriage licence/bank statement and credit card/Refrences covering 5 years,-all certified. A NMC statement of entry and NMC registration. Can we use the statement of entry on NMC online? Does the NMC send them directly ?Plus a signed CV and the fit2work criminal check.

For ANMAC what is required for the proof for fitness to practice?

What visa are you going for?

You only need the skills assessment when its for independent residency.

Again, depending on the visa / experience, you might not need to do the english exam.

The academic transcript gets sent directly from your UNI to AHPRA.

I think the NMC statement of entry is the one originally posted to you. The may also accept a copy of your recent registration as well.

  2. ANMAC - letter of determination

This has yet to arrive (nearly 3 weeks now) and ANMAC are wanting $60 and me to post them a form before they will issue another one.

Is it just me or is it ridiculous that the cost of this is on me when I had nothing to do with it not arriving? Also the fact I need to post a form to them first is just delaying things further.

Be glad when I don't need to deal with them anymore.

  3. New to forum need some advice, hubby has job in Adelaide in January, waiting for our 457 visa to come through which was lodged by his employer on 26/10 . I have had my medical finalised and will be seeking work come February as a community nurse hopefully. I have downloaded the reg form from the APHRA SITE it looks pretty complicated and reading some of the posts i will be lucky if i am registered before JULY . Will it be easier to wait until i am in oz or am i as well starting the process ASAP. Would appreciate any advice thanks NICOLA

    Hi Nicola

I would start the process now. It's actually not that complicated, if you go through the application form 1 section at a time. All of your supporting documents need to be certified as true copies of the original, a notary public can do this. You then need a CV and a letter from HR of your current employers to prove how much experience you have. Also contact your university who will send a transcipt of your course to ahpra. And contact the nmc who will send a statement of good standing also. Don't know if I'm forgetting anything. You also need to prove you have been 'taught' and 'assessed' in English for more than 5 years. I proved this by getting the uni and my school to write a letter showing this. Took me about 3 weeks to get all this before sending it away. Best of luck
