  1. hey.. how do you know that your medicals are referred? did you have a CO? Mine are going to be referred for sure (maybe they are already), but i dnt know how to trace it..I submitted my medicals on around third week of may..when did you submitt and after how many days did they referred it to MOC?..

    Thank you

Hi swavik, sorry I might not answer your question correctly, coz it's more than 2years since I was on your shoe.., and not so sure about the changes in MOC or DIAC policies, but during my time, If my memory serves me correctly, my CO had e-mailed me my client number and given me procedures to monitor the progress or the status of my application in DIAC website.. I don't know if this still applicable nowadays..

well good luck to all of you aspiring migrants.. & Godspeed!!!

  2. not sure if on medical spreadsheet.

my medical referred 24th July, finalized on 3rd Septmebr with Visa grant folloing this morning (4th September) Initial entry by 6th July (one year from date of medical and receipt of PCC)

    CONGRATULATIONS WAYNEL!!!!

  3. unfortunately for us, our son has failed his medical :cry: :chatterbox::realmad::arghh::mad:we are devastated but also angry. Last night I phoned GH to be told a decision had been made and his medical finalized. We just assumed he had passed and were obviously delighted. I emailed our CO about this and then this morning we received an email from her along with a letter of Natural Justice stating the reason as to why he had failed. We have 28 days to respond. We are however not to be beaten as we totally disagree with what they have said!! They have basically interpreted some details and come up with a diagnosis and prognosis that no professional here has done! (sorry I don't want to put all the details on display on a public forum) Anyway, I have already been in touch with someone as to where we go from here..........so hopefully sometime in the next 28 days I will come back with something a lot more positive

Good Luck to those of you still waiting and please say a little prayer that we somehow manage to get this medical approved and our visa issued xx[/quote

You and your family are always included in my prayers, folks let us all include Benoli and the rest of her family in our prayers that in the end they find success to their endeavor, and be given what is best for them...:angel_happy_face_ha

  7. The medicals were all fine, the problem we had was that my OH is in remission for cancer, and she has to have weekly meds. We had hoped that it wouldnt be an issue but it seems it is. Hope its not another 2 months before we get "the letter"!

Hope everything will be well for you and your family.. just keep praying and everything will be ok

  8. I have good news. my meds have finally been finalized!!!

I applied for a 457 visa and had medicals done on the 9th of July. Uploaded on the 13th of July by panel doctor. referred on the 25th of July. Must say I was quite disappointed with my CO...

I tried emailing HOC but no reply there either. Finally couldn't take it anymore and called GH. Got thru at noon EST. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and she said she would get someone to take a look at my meds. 2hours later they were finalised. Not sure if she fast tracked me coz my job started 2 weeks ago or coz I was ready to cry? (...sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do...) ;)

Seriously though, I am just so grateful and relieved and really praise the Lord. The waiting is horrible esp when nothing seems to be moving. For those of you who have waited 6 weeks or more I would advise you to call. The lady I spoke to was very kind.

This thread has also been very helpful and I would like to thank all of you for the advice and support.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!.. THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION:wink:

  9. Nope, no reasons the only thing that they have noted on the initial entry date was it can never be changed... We also thought that our initial entry would be sometime in May 2013 before the expiration of our meds or pcc, but thats my case, hope yours will be as per your expectations, anyways either way make also some other buffer plan just incase the date would not be as you are expecting...

  10. the validation period for the visa is commonly based either before the expiration date of your medicals (from the day you undergo medical exams) or your PCC ( from your native land). As i've said that is the common practice in the DIAC, but doesnt necessarily mean that they will always follow that, just for example in my case: meds: may 28, 2012 , pcc: may 25, 2012,initial enty : feb. 2, 2013-initial entry date is almost 4months ahead than the expiration of my meds and pcc.. So in my opinion it is still on the discretion of the CO.

  11. Thanks megawatts!

I have contacted my CO 3x times already. Last email from her she "politely" told me to stop sending in queries so that she could get on with her work.... I dont think it's in her hands anyway. I am very tempted to call the MOC sometime next week. I tried email but no reply. What do you think?

In the mean time I check this website as often as I check my email. It really does help to know others are in the same boat as me. Thanks so much for getting this started megawatts!

Your welcome.. I think you can call GH so you could just more or less know which ground you are standing now. Just prepare your TRN, birthdate and maybe passport number.. Also just a piece of advise in calling the GH, maybe you can also prepare a piece of note on everything you want to ask them so not to miss a thing, remember its quiet difficult in reaching them so it would be wise to make the most out of it... Best of luck

  12. Hi everyone,

Not been on for a while as been on hols but my son's medicals were finalised on 9th August, after being referred on 27th July. We got out visa grant on 14th August. I didn't do any chasing really, only emailed CO to ask if she could tell me why he was referred but she couldn't so emailed HOC to ask them, I didn't get any response until the day his got finalised and even then they didn't give me the reason for the referral so I'm still non the wiser but hey ho!

Hope everyone gets theirs through soon.

    Ali

    CONGRATULATIONS ALI!!!:ssign19:

  13. I have applied for a 457 visa for a job which started 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for referred medicals to be finalised.:swoon:

    medicals received 15/7/12-

    medicals referred 25/7/12

    current status- the waiting game

    "suffering builds character"......right..???

    Hi ladyinwaiting,

First of all we welcome you in this thread. As per my understanding in your post, if i may assume that you are already been accepted for the job, pending your medicals? If yes then, that maybe a good reason to tell your CO or GH to somehow prioritize the assessment of your health requirments.. Just my thoughts anyway there is no harm in trying. goodluck!!!!
