Thanks HB. Was having a paranoid day today, think AHPRA just saw my date of birth and thought they would give me the run around rather than say I am too old! But I have now received an email from Tasmania asking when I can give a telephone interview!! Chicken and egg comes to mind

Thanks for your reply. I do hope you are right. It may have something to do with the recruitment agency I have applied to. Maybe they are pushing AHPRA.

OK so I got an email to say my application was being returned, but today I have received another email asking if I have an offer of a job? I thought I couldn't get a job without getting registered first:arghh:

I thought I had checked and double checked my paperwork before sending off all documents to my recruitment agency for further checking. Last week I had a phone call from agency telling me all was well and she would post off to AHPRA that day. Wow today i get an email from AHPRA, my first thought was amazing! after only one week, but alas it was to say my application was being returned due to not having the right fees. I know I put $450, and having spoken to the agency they also confirm I did , so have no idea why they are returning application. The recruitment agency was not well pleased, and said she is constanly on the phone to AHPRA. Guess I can now join the long waiting queue:sad:

Very new and a novice on this site but will try to explain: Due to my not so tender years (although if retirement is aged 65 then I have a good 10+ years left) I need to apply for temporary vis (457) via sponsorship. I am just about to send my documents off to APHRA. My question is: If I ever succeed in getting through the APHRA process do I then approach an agency? Also is it worth applying to more than one agency? I have read other threads which quote that they applied direct to hospitals, and other that they applied for state sponsorship. Thanks for any helpANy questions on the above?

Well AHPRA certainly know how to play with my emotions! In short I sent my appilcation etc off, then they returned it saying I hadn't included the full amount ($450), which I did!!. Sent it back to them 2 weeks ago. Now I have an email saying I have paid too much!! and they will only be taking $219. I suppose I should be grateful that they are at least considering my application, but I'm now really scared that they will again say I haven't paid enough
