  1. Just back from my meeting with a visa agent, she said as long as I can 1. Prove my experience from Ireland (which I can do but the lodge is now closed down, and sadly the owner as passed on in tragic circumstances) 2. As long as the position is a camp/facilities manager role. I also phoned my boss who is now looking at me maybe becoming a camp manager on one of there new sites. Also I had no intention of using this agent, she just happens to have a office in her home a few doors down from were I live, but she seem relaxed and said it should be no problem as she deals with dozens of these situations.
  2. Can you point out a post by me that instigated "attitude" I was always just replying to a post in the same tone it was written. I listened to everyone but the posters accussing me of trying to cheat the DIAC were out of order. I cleared up my 1st post in post 4.
  3. I tried putting smiley faces in but was unable to. I put a lol after it, but again I got a negative reacation, surely you can see the "pun" I intended and never meant to stir things up. Have people on here any sense of humour? But I'll take your advice and start over again in a few days. Thanks agian, I really respect most of the comments:-)
  4. Yes thats what I'm doing, but I just wished posters would have read all my post clearly from post number 4 and thy would of be clear of my intentions and that I did not want to cheat the DIAC. But like you said I'll start a new thread in a few days/week when I'm more sure of my position. Yas all better get the war paint on...lol
  5. Would you not agree that employers like people in charge who know the ropes and the day to day running of the said role? Surely a degree in Business or whatever would make it a whole lot easier, but I didn't take that route when I left school, it doesnt mean that I dont have the skills required. I have worked as a Bar manager which was in a busy lodge in Ireland. This involved the day to day running of the lodge which had 35 bedrooms. I dont know why people are being soooooooooooo petty please, can we not be adults??? It sounds like sour grapes to me, you can clean but would you be willing to doit on a mine site on a 3:1 roster? Not many peolpe can last after the first swing and finding long term staff is a problem for the company. I however love the job and want to stick around and develop further within the company. IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND????
  6. I will hopefully be in touch with a agent tomorrow and have a clearer picture of my options. I'll post back what he says.
  7. All the jobs advertised require 5 years experience or 2 years Australian experience, must be a resident, No WHV's etc etc. He also only has limited experience as he graduated in 2008 when the Irish construction industry went bust.
  8. I'm on my 2nd WHV already, my partner is a QS/Estimator but has only limited experience so a perm visa is unlikely and he is working as a Concreter as a QS job is hard to get.
  9. I dont know, I can give you there phone number if you want to ask them yourself, but I would like to think that it is because of my hard working, attention to detail attitude towards my work whilst also showing an interest in developing myself further and maybe someday into a managerial position within the company. I was unaware that I had to be "so special" to get a reward in my job...what is with the petty comments? Also they are not willing to break any laws, they are just willing to be flexable in finding me a position within the company that would fill the requirements for sponsorship! Please stop attacking me, attack the post not the poster please!
  10. and how it this a fact "We're told that DIAC visit these forums quite regularly" were is the fact in this? Its more like scare tactics, which is quite petty to be honest! I just want some info on positions that are open to sponsorship that I have the experience in to discuss with my employer. Surely the DIAC would not throw their toys out of the pram if they found out I merley seeked advice on a "advice" forum? Can someone just answer this question..Can my employer sponsor me as a assistant camp manager on a 457 visa while I have only over 3 years experience and no quals in the said role?
  11. Yes I am aware of that but that idea burned out after post number 4, I should of said that my company have won contracts to manage a few more camps in WA, the reason I asked could they create a role is because I like the camp i'm on and would like to stay here, but there will be manager positions on the other new camps that I could get. I just dont know why people are shooting me down as a cheater, im just looking for info to talk over with my employer as to how they can sponser me. Like I said they are very eager to make me stay.
  12. I never said the company are willing to fraudulently get a visa, they are just willing to do all in their power to allow me to stay, If it cant be done I'm sure they are not going to break any laws.
  13. lol, yeah the ozzies are so laid back, pity the DIAC wern't the same. Although I can see why they are strict, Ireland during the Celtic Tiger was overflowing with non-skilled workers from the EU.
  14. Yeah my friends used a Irish agent who got them a 457 visa and the primary visa holder had no quals or experience in his role, so we'll be getting in touch with him soon also.
  15. Hey tickled pink, sorry if you thought I was being off with you but I just didn't know what else to write..too lazy maybe..lol I very much appricate all the replies I get wheather it is good or bad. I should make my self more clearer, the recruitment firm are willing to be very flexiable, maybe to the point of "creating" a manager role for me, its only a small camp but the firm are in charge of the camp/catering. If they were to "create" an assistant camp manager role, could I get sponsored on a 457 as an assistant manager? So many questions...lol
