Got an email from CO at 3am with the good news. Am I the first July 175 applicant to get a grant? All those with a CO, you're time is only around the corner.

We head off to Melbourne in 8 weeks on our reckie trip. It was a close call but now we can go knowing our visa can be stamped.:biggrin:

On this day of CO allocations, I have some good news.

I am July 1st applicant and sent an email to DIAC on Friday. They replied today

saying that my application had been allocated to a case officer in team 2 and they

would get in touch with me if they needed any more information.

No change yet to my onoline status no ABPF yet, but good news still.

Can you update the spreadsheet please? PCC 22nd December 2011, Medicals Finalised 16th January 2011

I don't want to but a dampener on things here, but we all should be prepared for a bit a slow down at the start of July applications, as they implemented a new system on 1st July 2011!! There may be staff off for training sessions, (which could contributing to why we're seeing a bit of a slow down again), and it could take a short while for the Case Officers to adapt to it! In the long run it's meant to "speed up" processing, but our agent has told us to expect a slow down until they get up and running smoothly with it!! Shouldn't mean we have seriously long delays like that of June, but just don't assume that July is going to be full throttle!!!

I did think the same as you at first, but then onshore applicants gave been getting COs and grants fir a while under the new points system. Would they have a different team of COs?

Anyway I am a front loaded British July 1st applicant and I only have 10 weeks to go before my reckie trip.

Whichever visa is last issued cancels any previously granted visa. Do you have a current ETA visa? If not maybe you should apply for one now. It's important that there is no confusion when the time comes for your grant. If you apply for an ETA after your 175 is granted then the ETA cancels the 175. It's possible you might be granted your 175 grant and not know it, then apply for the ETA for your rekkie. This would be bad. Get your ETA now and then when you get your 175 the ETA will be cancelled.

I understand what you mean, but I think I'll wait another month before I apply fir an ETA. I hoping the 175 will come through in February

I am a July 1st applicant and we did our meds on Jan 3rd and they were finalised on Jan 16th.

Just waiting and hoping now. Reckie trip to Melbourne booked for May 21st so starting to sweat now that we'll get it granted in time. PCC also done December 21st. COs were moving fast back then

I'm getting depressed with the lack of CO allocations and watching the exchange rate go down and down.

Update to our application: PCC uploaded 4/1/12 Medicals 11/1/12. Kids medicals are now finalised, my wife and mine are being referred.

I am a July 1st applicant and have just received police checks back and want to front load them

to my online application.

Having logged in and even going on the document checklist page, I can't find anywhere

that you can attach documents.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Can anyone tell me, when you get contacted my a case officer, how long do you have to do your police check and medicals? Do they give you a deadline such as a month or 2 months?
