Hi all Could anybody please answer these queries for me please before we consider emigration to Perth or Adelaide? I have a 6 year old son, what would happen with his child trust fund, can it be transferred? What would happen with mine and husband's pensions, mine being NHS, and his being local Government? How do we go about getting any finance, car loans etc in Oz? How do they go about doing credit checks etc? What do people normally do before emigration? When to sell house, do you sell your cars and buy new over there? How do we go about renting over there, is it possible to arrange this before we go? Sorry for all the questions but need as much info as possible before making such a huge decision:arghh: Any other financial issues I have'nt mentioned, answers also welcome. Hi all, been nearly 2 years since I have written anything on here. Sorry for going on one but here goes...................... Think we are getting to the point where we are seriously thinking of emigrating to, maybe Perth or Adelaide?? I am a qualified nurse, with 4 yrs experience, I am 44 will be 45 in October. Do we go on sponsored visa or pr visa?? My husband is a chartered accountantant, younger than me at 32, is it easier if he gets visa being the younger applicant?? Where do we start?? IELTS test, skills assessment for me, registering with nursing body in OZ? Selling house, applying for visa, where oh where do we start???? We also have a 6 yr old son, so would have to find schooling, when is best time to start them in a new school in Oz? Thank you all.xxxx:laugh:

Hi all It's been nearly 2 years since I posted on this site, so I feel like a newbie. Seriously thinking of emigrating to Perth, maybe on a sponsored visa early next year. I am a nurse with 4 years experience, and my age is 44, I will be 45 in October. If I apply for pr visa while on sponsored visa, will my age still go against me even though already on a sponsored visa while in Oz? Hope this makes sense. Thank you:smile:
