  1. Oh my goodness, I don't envy you!! Despite being British born and bred with a good level of academia, I found the IELTS process horrid; it wasn't so much the content of the tests but more the testing style-some of the multiple choice answers during the listening test were very ambiguous so listen carefully and a lot of it comes down to things like, whether the answer is singular or plural (so for example writing 'dog' instead of 'the dogs' can affect your result!!! Good luck with it
  2. Thanks for that, it sounds like the only difference is that mine states the number of hours worked rather than the words 'full time' aarrgghh - that seems so pedantic as 37.5 hours obviously isn't part time! I'm also now concerned about my CV as for the clinical skills section I've listed all the CPD stuff that I've done along with the hours each session constituted but I've noticed some people have included attendance certificates that have been verified-I didn't do that?? I'm definitely not going to give up because my family and I want to live in Australia more than anything-it's just very frustrating as every little hiccup delays the process!!
  3. Can anyone offer advice; I've recently applied to AHPRA for registration as a Nurse in Perth (from the UK). Today I received an email back saying that I need to have all my documents signed by a Notary rather than a solicitor (more money!) but also that my 'statements of Service' needed to be in the correct format (to be on employer headed paper, include dates of employment, part or full time and be signed and dated by manager). The front page of each of mine is on headed paper, with a date on front page and signature on last page, dates of employment plus hours (I.e. 37.5 per week) are they saying that I have to get further copies verified just because it doesn't state 'full time' next to the hours, and because each page isn't headed paper? Seems a huge waste of time and money for something so trivial??? Has anyone else had this experience. Many thanks
