2. I work on quite a few sites welding lintels etc and you'll be fine mate. There's a shortage in your trade so I wouldn't worry at all.
 3. a ticket for what? do you mean codings? if so then no mate your vetassess will be more than enough. i brought my british certs with me just to prove i'd passed tests in the pasts but they are only good for the job and company that coded you so you'd still have to do more at a new company. the vetassess is your skills cert which tells an employer you've had your skills checked out and you are up to standard. hope this helps. anyways off to bed now as it's not far off 10 pm over here and i have work at 4 so another day of sweating in the sun............................. rich

 11. get him to take a weld test and get it certified. i have heard of people who have migrated without certificates, i think it depends on how long he/they have been doing the job. speak to a migration agent as they can tell you more.

Hello

My name is Richard and I live in Birmingham. I am currently putting all the paperwork together for my VETASSESS application as a welder too. I have been searching for info on the welding test but not found anything until I saw your post. I was wondering if your husband to contact me once he has had his test to give me an idea of whats involved - I have 17yrs experience and currently brushing up on drawings, health and safety, etc so any help would be appreciated - likewise if I can give any information I will do so.

many thanks

rich.
