Thanks so much Olly... I couldn't find any blog which gave that much of information I got from you. Yes, I am considering the weather, the fact being that I will be moving in when it's peak winter... (late June-early July).

We would be migrating to Melbourne in June 2012 and are planning on moving to Moorabbin. This would be somewhere close to Cochranes Road which seems like the shopping centre area for this suburb. Just wanted to know if this is an ideal bet for starters. What about schools, public transport & CBD travel from this suburb? We have one son who is 5 and would like a catholic school. What about the crime rate and average expenses of living here?
