  1. Hi,

I have front loaded medicals and police police checks and have been reading about these forms, are they necessary? Should I do them now? Also do we have to fill in all information about extended family etc because Hubby hasn't seen or spoken to his in over 12 years and we actually just know their names (or what they were called then as some have got married etc) and we don't know anything else about them.

Thanks in advance for any help :) xx

  2. Thank you for all your advice. I think I got a bit worried because I couldn't find any nurses that had written recently on any forums about getting a 190 invitation and then I was just thinking maybe I should redo and try and get the 20 points. Although looking at the alternative you suggested it looks much better than the IELTS. Will give it a few weeks and if I don't get an invitation will probably do the test and try for the 20 points which would give me 60 for a 189 or 65 for a 190.

    Thanks again xx

  3. Hello!

I have a question about 190 EOI.... I've recently had my ANMAC back and applied for a 190 visa. I really wanted a 189 however we know we want NSW and I got 9's in all my IELTS apart from the blooming writing which I got a 7.5 which is how I ended up with only 55 points (so applied for a 190 for New South Wales which gave me 60 points).

I'm currently an ED nurse and I was wondering if anyone had any experience as to how long they had to wait for a 190 invitation if they got one at all. I was thinking about retaking the IELTS and going for a 189 but I would rather not if I don't have to...

Any advice or help would be most appreciated. I applied under the code Registered Nurse Critical Care and Emergency (ANZSCO) 2544-15

    Thank you xx

  4. Ah thank you. 3 years is even better and more reason to do one this year. Hoping for 8s don't necessarily need them (on the cusp of the next age bracket) but fingers crossed. Thanks very much for all your help x

  5. Hubby used Citronella in Afghan and said it was the best thing he had used and he tried a lot lol. You can get citronella automatic sprays and candles I think xx

  6. Hello, is it worth me doing my IELTS in my final year of nursing or is it better for me to wait until I qualify and then do it. I understand it lasts for 2 years so I'm thinking it will be one thing out of the way before we apply for a visa which we will be doing as soon as we can after I qualify. Thank you :) xxx

  7. Abortion is not for me. On the subject of a baby being formed early on this was a picture taken at my scan when I was 15 weeks pregnant nearly 10 weeks before the cut off for abortion. I have lots of pictures very similar and very clear...

I am pro choice but I don't believe abortion should be used as a form of contraception or something that people should do without proper counselling and guidance as it can leave long lasting effects mentally. Sadly although 2 doctors have to agree to an abortion it is exceedingly easy to get one and IMO from what I've seen personally people are not given all options and the correct guidance or after care xx

  8. It's hard isn't it. I remember when we told my mum we were posted to Northern Ireland and she was devastated even though she knew it was only for 3 years lol. She knows we are going to Aus but she doesn't know when so I know as soon as we tell her it's going ahead she will be really upset (again). It's a shock right now... give them a few days for it to sink it. I'm sure they want you to be happy as hard as it is for them ((hugs)) xxx

  9. Eat fish and chips on a seaside pier

Go to a night at the proms at the Albert Hall

    Visit the Giant's Causeway, N.Ireland

Have a picnic at an open air concert

Go up in the London Eye

Dine in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant

Take in the view from the top of the Shard

Stonehenge on longest day of the year

See the trooping of the colour

    See a traditional Xmas panto

    Visit a whisky distillery

    See Lake Windermere by boat

Go on a historic London pub tour

    Visit Borough food market
