  1. how exciting, when are you planning on going to Oz? I have already handed my notice in as I got a bit excited the other week!!

I emailed last week when I had problems with my IMMI account and someone else responded to the email. I will email again on Friday if I haven't heard. I think this week is going extra slow now I know others who applied on same day have got theirs!

    Any news yet?

I am flying out to Sydney on the 15/03/15 my work have been so accommodating and allowed me to leave almost 2 weeks early.

  2. Just before for us. 19th September so medical due next moth. We are hoping for 10 months. I never knew time could pass so slow

    Hi PJ2628,

I know the feeling. The worst part, and I think everyone will agree with this, is when you get into the last month then everyday seems like a lifetime. Every little email notification sends you into a mad rush to see if its the visa and if its come through early.

I really hope that yours comes through on the 10 month mark. Its such a long time to wait. Just busy yourself with enjoying life and try not to think about it. It really makes it go quicker.

once your visa is granted where you planning on heading to?

  3. Update... We emailed the general email for the visa process just to say we are aware they have made a note of our travel plans, we are two weeks out from our arrival is hubby ok to land on visitor visa or should we check closer to time so we can change flight should it be needed. Well 2hr & 5 mins ago we got 3 emails, one granting 309 the granting 100 then our lovely CO confirming in an email to expect a grant email that we have been granted!!!

Whoo hoo, currently celebrating in New Orleans drinking hurricanes!!

thats is approved 10days short of our 9 months!!!

Good luck to all still playing the waiting game

That such grate news and 10 days before your 9 month mark. Lets hope they keep that up for the rest of us.

    Congrats

  4. Hiya, not written on here for ages. Tomorrow is 8 months for me so let obsessive email checking commence! good to see lots of people are getting their grants through, it definitely gives hope to the rest of us :) x

    Hi sophielouise,

I'm only a day behind you so I'll be constantly watching my emails.

Wish they could come though on the 8 month mark not the 9 month.

    good luck

  5. My visa has finally come through. I applied 25th April 2014 and received the email 19th Jan 2015 so around 8 months 26 days. Thanks for all the updates. This forum really has been so helpful. Best of luck to all those still waiting!

Congrats Limboman. That is such good news that another visa has been granted, it's a shame that it is taking close to 9 months mark for a grant. I really just want to see my OH.

  6. I wrote too soon - the email confirmation for the 100 came through separately later.

    double hoorah!

    Congrats on the grant.

I was wondering for all those who are reading this thread, when did you apply and how long have you been waiting? The group is getting a bit thin on the ground and it would be grate to see more people on here.

I applied on the 28th of May, so my 9 month mark will be the end of Feb.

Chloe you must be in line fora grant this coming week. fingers crossed it comes though.

Any one else expecting to get a grant this week, bearing in mind that its going right to the 9 month mark now?

  7. This is a message to all of you waiting alone - whose partners have already gone.

My PMV application went in on February 11th. My fiance left England, however, in early September 2013.

I am not coping well. How are you dealing with this truly bizarre and upsetting situation?

    xx

    Hi Jo,

My OH left early in the year and we have been apart for over 9 months now. It is probably the hardest thing that I have had to do. We both miss each other, but we know once we have completed this period of time in our lives, then anything else we do will be easy.

You have to always stay positive and think about the things that you are going to do together when the time comes and your visa is granted.

Every weekend we Skype each other no matter what. It could only be for a few minutes, but at least it means we get to see each other (if only on a computer screen). We snapchat a hell of a lot, this keep us in each other lives even though we are on the other side of the world. It is these small things that really help and make the time easier for you.

No one ever said that the right path was easy. It's difficult, but just think about the amazing feelings that you will have when the immigration grants you your visa and then you can spend the rest of your life together.

I hope this gives you a bit of support and relief that you’re not the only one going through this.

  8. Hiya, congratulations Wozziegirl and Thetipper, thats great news for you :). Im new to commenting in this forum but have found the posts very useful through the application process so thought I would share my dates so far. I applied for my partner visa online on 27/05/14. Health checks were done on 14/06/14. C/O (KP) assigned on 23/06/14 and police checks were sent on 29/06/14. So I'm just over the 3 month mark so from reading your posts I still have quite a wait on my hands but its great to hear some are being granted!

    Hi Sophielouise,

I submitted my application at the same time as you, by the looks of things.

I was wondering did you front load your application with the health checks and police checks? I was informed that I could get my medicals and police checks after a certain time and no sooner? did this happen to you?

At this rate we're hopefully looking at a February grant date, if all goes to plan.

  9. I think the fact that London visa time has changed so drastically from 9 months at the longest to 14 months at the longest just shows how busy the CO's really must be and clearly don't have time to hold everyone's hand through the process.

Saying that, it's natural to worry and be concerned. Remember what I was like @snifter? A real pain on here with my incessant worrying

It's unbelievable that the processing times have been increased to the current times. I really fill for the people who are going through the process of lodging their application now. I've only been waiting 2 months and if feels like a decade.

Am I right to assume that the processing times quoted to us in the letter from the CO acknowledging our application is the timeline that they will be working to?

anyone had their visa granted recently. I don't see many joys of happiness on here.
