  1. The problem is that in my country most transaction are done in cash so there is no paper evidence of whom pays what in particular, thats why i don't know what could be presented as evidence, will a statutory declaration be sufficient in this case?

  2. If he adds her to his application and she fails then he fails too. Better talk to an agent.

I know that fact that they'll be in the same boat if she fails the medicals he'll fail too but the point i was asking about is that she wasn't added while filling the EOI and now he'll add her to the application after being invited, so will that be a problem or affect the application ?

  3. Hi all,

The situation is that I had my PR since November 2013, now my brother is applying for his PR and he'll add our mother as dependent on him, she is 63 years old and we all lived in the same house.

The thing is he need to provide "Evidence of dependency" documents and we have no idea what are the documents that we should provide.

If anyone has any idea what are the documents that could be used to prove her dependency on my brother please help.

    Best Regards,

  4. Does anyone understand the new anouncement on the SkillSelect site, i copied the announcement below:

    Announcement

In late 2013, the department conducted an evaluation of occupational ceilings to assess how they have operated to date and to consider changes to ensure they are performing their intended function.

Based on feedback received as part of the evaluation, the following changes will be in place from 1 March 2014:

    • State and territory nominated visas will no longer be subject to occupational ceiling limitations
    • The minimum ceiling for each occupational group will be 1000 invitations.

As there are still high levels of interest from prospective skilled migrants in the following six occupations, pro rata arrangements for these occupational groups will continue:

    • Chemical and Materials Engineers
    • Electronics Engineers
    • Other Engineering Professionals
    • ICT Business and Systems Analysts
    • Software and Applications Programmers
    • Telecommunications Engineering Professionals.

Details of the cut-offs for these occupations will continue to be included in the regular invitation round reports.

What do they mean that the minimum ceiling will be 1000 invitation, does that mean that they'll change the existing ceilings for the occupations to be 1000 per occupation or what?

Also what about the limit on the regional sponsored (class 489) which was 35 per invitation round then decreased to 25 per round, is this limit cancelled now and the number of invitation is open again or what?

Please comment if you have any info or even a speculation of what the update may mean.

  5. Thanks for your reply Verystormy but can you share with me the source of this info as i didn't find it anywhere on skillSelect's site, thats why i was asking in the first place as it seems the requirements on the site are a bit vaguish.

So if you have a link to a more detailed requirements that i should fulfil in order to be able to sponsor please share with me.

  6. I recently got my 189 visa (Skilled - Independent) and i want to sponsor my brother under the 489 class (Regional Sponsored)

what i need to know is wether i must have a job in Australia at the time of the sponsorship or not as i work for a multinational company but i live in australia

I know i have to have live in Australia in one of the designated regions but should my employer be an Australian company or not.

Also is there a minimum time that i should live in Australia before being able to sponsor a relative.

  7. Hi All,

I applied for the visa on October and my medicals were uploaded first of November.

Whats the expected time i'll get a CO?

my question is how much will the medicals take to be cleared?

I just need to know the average timeline.

  8. They don't need the date nor the address on the letter, only the begging "Dear ..." and the ending "Best Regards," and write your name afterwards.

Although it might be late but this site is very useful for preparing http://www.ielts-blog.com/ you'll find tips for every part of the test and also recent tests from all over the world.

The main advice though is don't be nervous, you're just attending the test to know where you stand and whats your level, its not a battle, if you didn't get the result you want know your where your culprits are and try again.
