Hi, I am reluctantly selling my 2007 Ford Focus Automatic Sedan as we are about to travel over East before returning back to the UK... The car is in excellent condition for it's age.

The car is Red and has all the CL model refinements. For it's age it has very few superficial scratches and road gravel chip marks. All in all a lovely car, and would be ideal for anyone arriving in Australia as it is basically the same model as UK Focus's... Cheers, Dave....

No Regrets from me or the Mrs. Obviously everybody returns for many different reasons.... We returned to UK about 10 months ago to Derbyshire from Perth. (we are presently back in Perth, but just for a holiday to see friends and relations). We lived in Australia (with stints in the pacific area - work related) for over 30 years... We returned to UK when I was 69, I was concerned about the move back because of my age, but, definitely no regrets.. Our kids are grown up, they make their own choices in life and encouraged to make the move...We can visit Aust every year if we want to as we have some wonderful friends in Aust. At the end of the day, home is where the heart is...When we lived in Perth we returned to the UK nearly every year for a holiday, so we did know what to expect with all the changes etc.

What we find, is that if you are retired and have no mortgage you are better off in the UK apart from cost of fuel.

Hi, We are thinking of shipping our FORD FOCUS 2.0 CL to the UK when we resettle back over there.

From what I understand the Focus I have is the same as the UK standard type..

It is a 2007 Auto.... Just need to know, are there any hidden costs involved when it gets back to the UK apart from road tax and MOT etc. Will insurance be higher on an imported car, will VAT become an issue on a second hand imported car?.

Has anyone returned with a car, and if so, are there any drawbacks.. Are second hand cars more expensive over there?

We have tried to sell it but no luck, so we're thinking of taking it back as I know at the end of the day we will get offered peanuts for it...

What does Ro-Ro entail, not deck cargo I hope...
