  1. It depends on what r the issues on you pcc. If u got something like criminal, robbery, etc do not give to the DiAc. It will be negative for u r application.

That would make it a fraudulent application and is not at all recommended. If, and when your omission is found out your visa would be cancelled anyway.

  2. yes. Although you'll find it was him/her that actually started the condescending if you read the threads... I dont attack, just defend. thanks

Seriously??? You are all as bad as each other when it comes to some of the remarks you make but using 'love' to put someone down, you don't get much lower than that IMHO (but hey, ho, just a woman so I guess you wouldn't listen to my opinion anyway).

  3. sounds like it's in your mind

i get given eggs quite often, beautiful local eggs, free range of course

Actually I was told by doctors and dieticians in the UK to give up eggs as they were making me sick. Thanks though for your concern of my mental state.

  4. Stick to commenting on something you know about love

Could you be anymore condescending? As a woman I find this remark totally out of order and offensive. I wonder if you knew that Tracey123 was actually male would you be so quick in saying that he was naive and stupid?

  5. I'm going to Emerald in central Queensland for the three months, my husband works out that way so he's going to be able to come home each night, rather than me have to be on my own when he's on his 10 day on part of his shift. After I have my visa, were planning on the Sunshine Coast.

I will be in Emerald and surrounding areas on and off for the next four weeks so maybe we will run into each other in town.

Have fun out there, it is not for everyone but I love it there - the people are so friendly and there are some cool things to do in the surrounding areas, such as Rubyvale where you can go gem fossicking.

  6. Congratulations to everyone that have received your visas over the past month or so.

Our news is that our PR visa grant came through today! It came through in a little under 4 months, exact timeline in my signature.

I just wanted to sasy thanks to everyone for the advice and support given over the past few months. I also want people to take heart in knowing that my OH's visa was granted despite only being cancer free for 2 years and having undergone a stem cell transplant in April 2008.

  7. That's absolutely fantastic news!!! Looks like that will map exactly onto the original 4 month timescale. None of this 5-6 month nonsense!

As an aside, how often have you spoken to your CO? I've never called mine, I've only ever emailed her, or actually sent a letter with evidence through the post. Are they open to tell you things they wouldn't necessarily put in writing at that point in time?

We have only spoken to our CO the once and my OH said he was as nice as pie and was happy to discuss the application. Prior to that we had only dealt via email which we found not to be the most informative.

  8. Her initials are SV. I've only corresponded with her by email and I don't want to hassle her. After all, it is only just 3 months since I applied, so to be fair there's a month to go before I can really start pestering her!

EDIT: The 5-6 months note is on the standard disclaimer at the end of her email. The content of the mail was purely acknowledging a previous mail I had sent her, not a direct response to a "how long will it be" question.

    Different CO to us then.

Glad that is just the standard disclaimer, bit worried for second there in case they had changed their minds again as we have a cruise booked and we arrive in Sydney from San Francisco on the 4th November. :jiggy:

  9. That's fantastic news to hear a May application has been approved. Congratulations!!

    Here's my timescales:

18th May 2010 Application received at Australia House 18th (with PCC and Form 80, no meds)

18th May Fee charged to Credit Card

    19th May Medical carried out

24th May Case Officer emailed me to acknowledge application and request additional evidence

3rd June - 11th August Visited my wife in Australia (additional evidence supplied during this time)

11th August Emailed CO confirming I was back in the UK.

19th August CO confirmed receipt of previous email including the dreaded 5-6 month disclaimer!

I'm either going to hear in the next few weeks or just before Christmas! My house is up for sale and I'll soon be homeless and I've no job as I took a pay off to pay for the wedding and all this visa stuff! I could really do with the timescale being 4 months and not 6!

It is interesting that they quoted you the 5-6 month wait just yesterday. Emmaroo was told by her CO that applications sent in previous to the change to 5-6 months (ie, early-mid July) were still going to be processed in the 3-4 month timescale. Curious as to the initials of your CO.

  10. It is extremely quiet on the visa front at the moment, unfortunately we probably won't hear until early October (if they go back to the 3-4 month processing for us).

At least we have stuff to keep us busy as we are actually leaving the UK on the 30th August (BAA strike not withstanding) and so we are currently in full pack up mode. Our current plan is to spend 6 weeks driving across the US and then in mid October look at flying across to Australia. If the visa still hasn't come through by then we will just wear out our welcome with the relatives in California.

I hope yours comes through soon maybeamy.

  11. Hi

Well that's the interview under our belts and it was easy peasy! Our CO was lovely and made us feel very relaxed about everything.

He said that he was scoring us for a subclass 100 and to give him a call mid oct for the outcome but that everything was looking good!

He also said that there had been a meeting today and that people who had applied before all the recent announcements would still be looking at 4 months which is great news for us all!

    Yipee!

    :jiggy:

Glad to hear it all went well, knew you would do fine. :jiggy:

As for the other news - how fantastic is that, just what we were hoping for! Thanks for making my day.
