Hypothetical: we are a family of 4 with 2 young boys, If a disaster was to happen and us parents were killed, how would the authoriites know who to get in touch with in the UK? We have emergency contacts here in Australia, but again how would the authorities know who to contact? As far as i know there isn't a national database of emergency contacts or next of kin?

What do you do if your not close enough to people in Australia to have an emergency contact?

I am on a 119 rsms application. The nomination was approved on the employer side then I sent my visa application in.

Hi what is RCB? The case officer has requested full skills assessment

I front loaded everything and have a case officer who has requested a skills assessment, I thought there was no skills assessment for RSMS?? so thats put me back another few months. Great:shocked:

Well some good news I have a case officer. Bad news he wants information that I wasn't expecting. He wants details of membership to engineersaustralia which I don't have. Has anybody had this request? It's not a skills assessment request and I've been told that membership to engineersaustralia isn't compulsory in Victoria. I have requested more information but his out of office is on now until the 11th GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR

My application was received 19th August and I was told 4-6 weeks. Got an email last night from the lady who has helped me with my application and have been told it is now indefinate because of the backlog, this is in Melbourne. Wonderful:mad:

Had all the paperwork done and front loaded meds on visa application and had a reciept on 19th August. Just waiting now been told 4-6 weeks before a case officer is assigned so hopefully won't be long now. in the melbourne office and is a 119 visa
